Micah 7:8-13

내 원수야, 내가 당하는 고난을 보고서, 미리 흐뭇해 하지 말아라. 나는 넘어져도 다시 일어난다. 지금은 어둠 속에 있지만, 주님께서 곧 나의 빛이 되신다.
내가 주님께 죄를 지었으니, 이제 나는 주님의 분노가 가라앉기까지 참고 있을 뿐이다. 마침내, 주님께서는 나를 변호하시고, 내 권리를 지켜 주시고, 나를 빛 가운데로 인도하실 것이니, 내가 주님께서 행하신 의를 볼 것이다.
그 때에 내 원수는 내가 구원 받은 것을 보고 부끄러워할 것이다. "주 너의 하나님이 어디 있느냐?" 하면서 나를 조롱하던 그 원수가 얼굴을 들지 못할 것이다. 내 원수가 거리의 진흙처럼 밟힐 것이니, 패배당한 원수의 모습을 보게 될 것이다.네 성벽을 다시 쌓아야 할 때가 온다. 네 지경을 넓혀야 할 때가 온다.
그 때에 네 백성이 사방으로부터 네게로 되돌아온다. 앗시리아로부터, 이집트의 여러 성읍으로부터, 심지어 이집트에서부터 유프라테스 강에 이르기까지 이 바다에서 저 바다까지 이 산에서 저 산까지 네 백성이 네게로 되돌아올 것이다.
그들이 살던 땅은, 거기에 사는 악한 자들의 죄 때문에, 사막이 되고 말 것이다.Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.
Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the LORD's wrath, until he pleads my case and establishes my right. He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness.
Then my enemy will see it and will be covered with shame, she who said to me, "Where is the LORD your God?" My eyes will see her downfall; even now she will be trampled underfoot like mire in the streets.The day for building your walls will come, the day for extending your boundaries.
In that day people will come to you from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, even from Egypt to the Euphrates and from sea to sea and from mountain to mountain.
The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants, as the result of their deeds.
