Luke 15:21-32

아들이 아버지에게 말하였다. '아버지, 내가 하늘과 아버지 앞에 죄를 지었습니다. 이제부터 나는 아버지의 아들이라고 불릴 자격이 없습니다.' 그러나 아버지는 종들에게 말하였다. '어서, 가장 좋은 옷을 꺼내서, 그에게 입히고, 손에 반지를 끼우고, 발에 신을 신겨라. 그리고 살진 송아지를 끌어내다가 잡아라. 우리가 먹고 즐기자. 나의 이 아들은 죽었다가 살아났고, 내가 잃었다가 되찾았다.' 그래서 그들은 잔치를 벌였다. 그런데 큰 아들이 밭에 있다가 돌아오는데, 집에 가까이 이르렀을 때에, 음악 소리와 춤추면서 노는 소리를 듣고,종 하나를 불러서, 무슨 일인지를 물어 보았다. 종이 그에게 말하였다. '아우님이 집에 돌아왔습니다. 건강한 몸으로 돌아온 것을 반겨서, 주인 어른께서 살진 송아지를 잡으셨습니다.' 큰 아들은 화가 나서, 집으로 들어가려고 하지 않았다. 아버지가 나와서 그를 달랬다. 그러나 그는 아버지에게 대답하였다. '나는 이렇게 여러 해를 두고 아버지를 섬기고 있고, 아버지의 명령을 한 번도 어긴 일이 없는데, 나에게는 친구들과 함께 즐기라고, 염소 새끼 한 마리도 주신 일이 없습니다. 그런데 창녀들과 어울려서 아버지의 재산을 다 삼켜 버린 이 아들이 오니까, 그를 위해서는 살진 송아지를 잡으셨습니다.'아버지가 그에게 말하였다. '얘야, 너는 늘 나와 함께 있으니 내가 가진 모든 것은 다 네 것이다. 그런데 너의 이 아우는 죽었다가 살아났고, 내가 잃었다가 되찾았으니, 즐기며 기뻐하는 것이 마땅하다.'""The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' "But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate. "Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.' "The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'" 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "

Luke 15:11-20

예수께서 말씀하셨다. "어떤 사람에게 아들이 둘 있는데 작은 아들이 아버지에게 말하기를 '아버지, 재산 가운데서 내게 돌아올 몫을 내게 주십시오' 하였다. 그래서 아버지는 살림을 두 아들에게 나누어 주었다. 며칠 뒤에 작은 아들은 제 것을 다 챙겨서 먼 지방으로 가서, 거기서 방탕하게 살면서, 그 재산을 낭비하였다. 그가 모든 것을 탕진했을 때에, 그 지방에 크게 흉년이 들어서, 그는 아주 궁핍하게 되었다. 그래서 그는 그 지방의 주민 가운데 한 사람을 찾아가서, 몸을 의탁하였다. 그 사람은 그를 들로 보내서 돼지를 치게 하였다.그는 돼지가 먹는 쥐엄 열매라도 좀 먹고 배를 채우고 싶은 심정이었으나, 그에게 먹을 것을 주는 사람이 없었다. 그제서야 그는 제정신이 들어서, 이렇게 말하였다. The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them. "Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. "When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

Luke 15:8-10

Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

Luke 15:1-7

세리들과 죄인들이 모두 예수의 말씀을 들으려고 그에게 가까이 몰려들었다. 바리새파 사람들과 율법학자들은 투덜거리며 말하였다. "이 사람이 죄인들을 맞아들이고, 그들과 함께 음식을 먹는구나." 그래서 예수께서는 그들에게 이 비유를 말씀하셨다. "너희 가운데서 어떤 사람이 양 백 마리를 가지고 있는데, 그 가운데서 한 마리를 잃으면, 아흔아홉 마리를 들에 두고, 그 잃은 양을 찾을 때까지 찾아 다니지 않겠느냐? 찾으면, 기뻐하며 자기 어깨에 메고 집으로 돌아와서, 벗과 이웃 사람을 불러모으고, '나와 함께 기뻐해 주십시오. 잃었던 내 양을 찾았습니다' 하고 말할 것이다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 이와 같이 하늘에서는, 회개할 필요가 없는 의인 아흔아홉보다, 회개하는 죄인 한 사람을 두고 더 기뻐할 것이다."Now the tax collectors and "sinners" were all gathering around to hear him. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." Then Jesus told them this parable: "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Luke 14:25-35

많은 무리가 예수와 동행하였다. 예수께서 돌아서서 그들에게 말씀하셨다."누구든지 내게로 오는 사람은, 자기 아버지나 어머니나, 아내나 자식이나, 형제나 자매뿐만 아니라, 심지어 자기 목숨까지도 미워하지 않으면, 내 제자가 될 수 없다. 누구든지 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따라오지 않으면, 내 제자가 될 수 없다. 너희 가운데서 누가 망대를 세우려고 하면, 그것을 완성할 만한 비용이 자기에게 있는지를, 먼저 앉아서 셈하여 보아야 하지 않겠느냐? 그렇게 하지 않아서, 기초만 놓은 채 완성하지 못하면, 보는 사람들이 그를 비웃을 것이며, '이 사람이 짓기를 시작만 하고, 끝내지는 못하였구나' 하고 말할 것이다.또 어떤 임금이 다른 임금과 싸우러 나가려면, 이만 명을 거느리고서 자기에게로 쳐들어오는 그를 자기가 만 명으로 당해 낼 수 있을지를, 먼저 앉아서 헤아려 보아야 하지 않겠느냐? 당해 낼 수 없겠으면, 그가 아직 멀리 있을 동안에 사신을 보내서, 화친을 청할 것이다. 그러므로 이와 같이, 너희 가운데서 누구라도, 자기 소유를 다 버리지 않으면, 내 제자가 될 수 없다." "소금은 좋은 것이다. 그러나 소금이 짠 맛을 잃으면, 무엇으로 그것을 짜게 하겠느냐? 그것은 땅에도 거름에도 쓸 데가 없어서 밖에 내버린다. 들을 귀가 있는 사람은 들어라."Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said:"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, saying, 'This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.'"Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Will he not first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out. "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

Luke 14:15-24

함께 먹고 있던 사람 가운데 하나가 이 말씀을 듣고서 예수께 말하였다. "하나님의 나라에서 음식을 먹는 사람은 복이 있습니다."예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "어떤 사람이 큰 잔치를 베풀고, 많은 사람을 초대하였다. 잔치 시간이 되어, 그는 자기 종을 보내서 '준비가 다 되었으니, 오십시오' 하고 초대받은 사람들에게 말하게 하였다. 그런데 그들은 모두 하나같이 핑계를 대기 시작하였다. 한 사람은 그에게 말하기를 '내가 밭을 샀는데, 가서 보아야 하겠소. 부디 양해해 주기 바라오' 하였다. 다른 사람은 '내가 겨릿소 다섯 쌍을 샀는데, 그것들을 시험하러 가는 길이오. 부디 양해해 주기 바라오' 하고 말하였다. 또 다른 사람은 '내가 장가를 들어서, 아내를 맞이하였소. 그러니 가지 못하겠소' 하고 말하였다.그 종이 돌아와서, 이것을 그대로 자기 주인에게 일렀다. 그러자 집주인이 노하여 종더러 말하기를 '어서 시내의 거리와 골목으로 나가서, 가난한 사람들과 지체에 장애가 있는 사람들과 눈먼 사람들과 다리 저는 사람들을 이리로 데려 오너라' 하였다. 그렇게 한 뒤에 종이 말하였다. '주인님, 분부대로 하였습니다만, 아직도 자리가 남아 있습니다.' 주인이 종에게 말하였다. '큰길과 산울타리로 나가서, 사람들을 억지로라도 데려다가, 내 집을 채워라. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 초대를 받은 사람들 가운데서는, 아무도 나의 잔치를 맛보지 못할 것이다.'"When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, "Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God."Jesus replied: "A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.' "But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, 'I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.' "Another said, 'I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I'm on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.' "Still another said, 'I just got married, so I can't come.'"The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.' " 'Sir,' the servant said, 'what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.' "Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full. I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.' "

Luke 14:1-14

어느 안식일에 예수께서 바리새파 사람의 지도자들 가운데 어떤 사람의 집에 음식을 잡수시러 들어가셨는데, 사람들이 예수를 지켜보고 있었다. 그런데 예수 앞에 수종병 환자가 한 사람이 있었다. 예수께서 율법교사들과 바리새파 사람들에게 물으셨다. "안식일에 병을 고치는 것이 옳으냐? 옳지 않으냐?" 그들은 잠잠하였다. 예수께서 그 병자를 손으로 잡아서 고쳐 주시고, 돌려보내신 다음에, 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희 가운데서 누가 아들이나 소가 우물에 빠지면 안식일에라도 당장 끌어내지 않겠느냐?"그들은 이 말씀에 대답할 수 없었다. 예수께서는, 초청을 받은 사람들이 윗자리를 골라잡는 것을 보시고, 그들에게 비유를 하나 말씀하셨다. "네가 누구에게 혼인 잔치에 초대를 받거든, 높은 자리에 앉지 말아라. 혹시 손님 가운데서 너보다 더 귀한 사람이 초대를 받았을 경우에, 너와 그를 초대한 사람이 와서, 너더러 '이 분에게 자리를 내드리시오' 하고 말할지 모른다. 그러면 너는 부끄러워하며 가장 낮은 자리로 내려앉게 될 것이다. 네가 초대를 받거든, 가서 맨 끝자리에 앉아라. 그리하면 너를 청한 사람이 와서, 너더러 '친구여, 윗자리로 올라앉으시오' 하고 말할 것이다. 그 때에 너는 너와 함께 앉은 모든 사람 앞에서 영광을 받을 것이다.누구든지 자기를 높이면 낮아질 것이요, 자기를 낮추면 높아질 것이다." 예수께서는 자기를 초대한 사람에게도 말씀하셨다. "네가 점심이나 만찬을 베풀 때에, 네 친구나 네 형제나 네 친척이나 부유한 이웃 사람들을 부르지 말아라. 그렇게 하면 그들도 너를 도로 초대하여 네게 되갚아, 네 은공이 없어질 것이다. 잔치를 베풀 때에는, 가난한 사람들과 지체에 장애가 있는 사람들과 다리 저는 사람들과 눈먼 사람들을 불러라. 그리하면 네가 복될 것이다. 그들이 네게 갚을 수 없기 때문이다. 의인들이 부활할 때에, 하나님께서 네게 갚아 주실 것이다."One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched. There in front of him was a man suffering from dropsy. Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?" But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him away. Then he asked them, "If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?"And they had nothing to say. When he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at the table, he told them this parable: "When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited. If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, 'Give this man your seat.' Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place. But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, 'Friend, move up to a better place.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow guests.For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Then Jesus said to his host, "When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

Luke 13:31-35

바로 그 때에 몇몇 바리새파 사람들이 다가와서 예수께 말하였다. "여기에서 떠나가십시오. 헤롯 왕이 당신을 죽이고자 합니다." 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "가서, 그 여우에게 전하기를 '보아라, 오늘과 내일은 내가 귀신을 내쫓고 병을 고칠 것이요, 사흘째 되는 날에는 내 일을 끝낸다' 하여라. 그러나 오늘도 내일도 그 다음 날도, 나는 내 길을 가야 하겠다. 예언자가 예루살렘이 아닌 다른 곳에서는 죽을 수 없기 때문이다. 예루살렘아, 예루살렘아, 예언자들을 죽이고, 네게 파송된 사람들을 돌로 치는구나! 암탉이 제 새끼를 날개 아래에 품듯이, 내가 몇 번이나 네 자녀를 모아 품으려 하였더냐! 그러나 너희는 그것을 원하지 않았다. 보아라, 너희의 집은 버림을 받을 것이다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 너희가 말하기를 '주님의 이름으로 오시는 분은 복되시다' 할 그 때가 오기까지, 너희는 나를 다시는 보지 못할 것이다."At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, "Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you." He replied, "Go tell that fox, 'I will drive out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.' In any case, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day--for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'"

Luke 13:22-30

예수께서 여러 성읍과 마을에 들르셔서, 가르치시면서 예루살렘으로 여행하셨다. 그런데 어떤 사람이 예수께 물었다. "주님, 구원받을 사람은 적습니까?" 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. "너희는 좁은 문으로 들어가기를 힘써라. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 들어가려고 해도 들어가지 못하는 사람이 많을 것이다. 집주인이 일어나서, 문을 닫아 버리면, 너희가 밖에 서서 문을 두드리면서 '주인님, 문을 열어 주십시오' 하고 졸라도, 주인은 '너희가 어디에서 왔는지, 나는 모른다' 하고 대답할 것이다.그 때에 너희가 말하기를 '우리는 주인님 앞에서 먹고 마셨으며, 주인님은 우리를 길거리에서 가르치셨습니다' 할 터이나, 주인이 너희에게 말하기를 '나는 너희가 어디에서 왔는지 모른다. 불의를 일삼는 자들아, 모두 내게서 물러가거라' 할 것이다. 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱과 모든 예언자는 하나님 나라 안에 있는데, 너희는 바깥으로 쫓겨난 것을 너희가 보게 될 때에, 거기서 슬피 울면서 이를 갈 것이다. 사람들이 동과 서에서, 또 남과 북에서 와서, 하나님 나라 잔치 자리에 앉을 것이다. 보아라, 꼴찌가 첫째가 될 사람이 있고, 첫째가 꼴찌가 될 사람이 있다."Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'"Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' "But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!' "There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last."

Luke 13:18-21

예수께서 말씀하셨다. "하나님 나라는 무엇과 같은가? 그것을 무엇에다가 비길까? 그것은 겨자씨의 다음 경우와 같다. 어떤 사람이 겨자씨를 가져다가 자기 정원에 심었더니, 자라서 나무가 되어, 공중의 새들이 그 가지에 깃들였다." 예수께서 다시 말씀하셨다. "하나님 나라를 무엇에다가 비길까?그것은 누룩의 다음 경우와 같다. 어떤 여자가 누룩을 가져다가, 가루 서 말 속에 섞어 넣었더니, 마침내 온통 부풀어올랐다."Then Jesus asked, "What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches." Again he asked, "What shall I compare the kingdom of God to?It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough."

Luke 13:10-17

예수께서 안식일에 회당에서 가르치고 계셨다.그런데 거기에 열여덟 해 동안이나 병마에 시달리고 있는 여자가 있었는데, 그는 허리가 굽어 있어서, 몸을 조금도 펼 수 없었다. 예수께서는 이 여자를 보시고, 가까이 불러서 말씀하시기를, "여자야, 너는 병에서 풀려났다" 하시고, 그 여자에게 손을 얹으셨다. 그러자 그 여자는 곧 허리를 펴고, 하나님께 영광을 돌렸다. 그런데 회당장은, 예수께서 안식일에 병을 고치신 것에 분개하여 무리에게 말하였다. "일을 해야 할 날이 엿새가 있으니, 엿새 가운데서 어느 날에든지 와서, 고침을 받으시오. 그러나 안식일에는 그렇게 하지 마시오." 주님께서 그에게 대답하셨다. "너희 위선자들아, 너희는 저마다 안식일에도 소나 나귀를 외양간에서 풀어내어, 끌고 나가서 물을 먹이지 않느냐?그렇다면, 아브라함의 딸인 이 여자가 열여덟 해 동안이나 사탄에게 매여 있었으니, 안식일에라도 이 매임을 풀어 주어야 하지 않겠느냐?" 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시니, 그를 반대하던 사람들은 모두 부끄러워하였고, 무리는 모두 예수께서 하신 모든 영광스러운 일을 두고 기뻐하였다.On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity." Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, "There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath." The Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?" When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.

Luke 13:1-9

바로 그 때에 몇몇 사람이 와서, 빌라도가 갈릴리 사람들을 학살해서 그 피를 그들이 바치려던 희생제물에 섞었다는 사실을 예수께 일러드렸다. 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them--do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."Then he told this parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?' " 'Sir,' the man replied, 'leave it alone for one more year, and I'll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.' "

Luke 12:54-59

I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny."

Luke 12:49-53

But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is completed!Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

Luke 12:41-48

The Lord answered, "Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose the servant says to himself, 'My master is taking a long time in coming,' and he then begins to beat the menservants and maidservants and to eat and drink and get drunk.The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers. "That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

Luke 12:35-40

It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

Luke 12:27-31

And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

Luke 12:22-26

Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

Luke 12:13-21

'어리석은 사람아, 오늘밤에 네 영혼을 네게서 도로 찾을 것이다. 그러면 네가 장만한 것들이 누구의 것이 되겠느냐?'자기를 위해서는 재물을 쌓아 두면서도, 하나님께 대하여는 부요하지 못한 사람은 이와 같다."Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me." Jesus replied, "Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?" Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' "Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." ' "But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."

Luke 12:8-12

"내가 너희에게 말한다. 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 시인하면, 인자도 하나님의 천사들 앞에서 그 사람을 시인할 것이다. 그러나 사람들 앞에서 나를 부인하는 사람은, 하나님의 천사들 앞에서 부인당할 것이다. 누구든지 인자를 거슬러서 말하는 사람은 용서를 받을 것이지만, 성령을 거슬러서 모독하는 말을 한 사람은 용서를 받지 못할 것이다.너희가 회당과 통치자와 권력자 앞에 끌려갈 때에, '어떻게 대답하고, 무엇을 대답할까', 또 '무슨 말을 할까' 하고 염려하지 말아라. 너희가 말해야 할 것을 바로 그 시각에 성령께서 가르쳐 주실 것이다.""I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say."

Luke 12:1-7

"내 친구인 너희에게 내가 말한다. 육신은 죽여도 그 다음에는 그 이상 아무것도 할 수 없는 자들을 두려워하지 말아라. 너희가 누구를 두려워해야 할지를 내가 보여 주겠다. 죽인 다음에 지옥에 던질 권세를 가지신 분을 두려워하여라. 그렇다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 그분을 두려워하여라.참새 다섯 마리가 두 냥에 팔리지 않느냐? 그러나 그 가운데 하나라도, 하나님께서는 잊고 계시지 않는다. 하나님께서는 너희 머리카락까지도 다 세고 계신다. 두려워하지 말아라. 너희는 많은 참새보다 더 귀하다."Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
