1 John 4:17-21

사랑이 우리에게서 완성되었다는 사실은 이 점에 있으니, 곧 우리로 하여금 심판 날에 담대함을 가지게 하려는 것입니다. 우리가 이렇게 담대해지는 것은, 그리스도께서 사신 대로 또한 우리도 이 세상에서 그렇게 살기 때문입니다. 사랑에는 두려움이 없습니다. 완전한 사랑은 두려움을 내쫓습니다. 두려움은 징벌과 관련이 있습니다. 두려워하는 사람은 아직 사랑을 완성하지 못한 사람입니다. 우리가 사랑하는 것은 하나님이 우리를 먼저 사랑하셨기 때문입니다. 누가 하나님을 사랑한다고 하면서, 자기 형제자매를 미워하면, 그는 거짓말쟁이입니다. 보이는 자기 형제자매를 사랑하지 않는 사람이 보이지 않는 하나님을 사랑할 수 없습니다.하나님을 사랑하는 사람은 자기 형제자매도 사랑해야 합니다. 우리는 이 계명을 주님에게서 받았습니다.In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

1 John 4:13-16

If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

1 John 4:7-12

사랑하는 여러분, 서로 사랑합시다. 사랑은 하나님에게서 난 것입니다. 사랑하는 사람은 다 하나님에게서 났고, 하나님을 압니다. 사랑하지 않는 사람은 하나님을 알지 못합니다. 하나님은 사랑이시기 때문입니다. 하나님의 사랑이 우리에게 이렇게 드러났으니, 곧 하나님이 자기 외아들을 세상에 보내주셔서 우리로 하여금 그로 말미암아 살게 해주신 것입니다. 사랑은 이 사실에 있으니, 곧 우리가 하나님을 사랑한 것이 아니라, 하나님이 우리를 사랑하셔서, 자기 아들을 보내어 우리의 죄를 위하여 화목제물이 되게 하신 것입니다 사랑하는 여러분, 하나님께서 이렇게까지 우리를 사랑하셨으니, 우리도 서로 사랑해야 합니다. 지금까지 하나님을 본 사람은 없습니다. 그러나 우리가 서로 사랑하면, 하나님이 우리 가운데 계시고, 또 하나님의 사랑이 우리 가운데서 완성된 것입니다. 7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

1 John 4:1-6

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

1 John 3:19-24

For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

1 John 3:16-18

그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 자기 목숨을 버리셨습니다. 이것으로 우리가 사랑을 알게 되었습니다. 그러므로 우리도 형제자매를 위하여 목숨을 버리는 것이 마땅합니다. 누구든지 세상 재물을 가지고 있으면서, 자기 형제자매의 궁핍함을 보고도, 마음 문을 닫고 도와주지 않으면, 어떻게 하나님의 사랑이 그 사람 속에 머물겠습니까? 자녀 된 이 여러분, 우리는 말이나 혀로 사랑하지 말고, 행동과 진실함으로 사랑합시다.This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

1 John 3:11-15

Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

1 John 3:7-10

자녀 된 이 여러분, 아무에게도 미혹을 당하지 마십시오. 의를 행하는 사람은 하나님이 의로우신 것과 같이 의롭습니다. 죄를 짓는 사람은 악마에게 속해 있습니다. 악마는 처음부터 죄를 짓는 자이기 때문입니다. 하나님의 아들이 나타나신 목적은 악마의 일을 멸하시려는 것입니다. 하나님에게서 난 사람은 누구나 죄를 짓지 않습니다. 하나님의 씨가 그 사람 속에 있기 때문입니다. 그는 죄를 지을 수 없습니다. 그가 하나님에게서 났기 때문입니다. 하나님의 자녀와 악마의 자녀가 여기에서 환히 드러납니다. 곧 의를 행하지 않는 사람과 자기 형제자매를 사랑하지 않는 사람은 누구나 하나님에게서 난 사람이 아닙니다.Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

1 John 3:4-6

1 John 3:1-3

And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears,we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

1 John 2:28-29

그러므로 자녀 된 이 여러분, 그리스도 안에 머물러 있으십시오. 그렇게 해야 그가 나타나실 때에 우리가 담대함을 가지게 될 것이며, 그가 오실 때에 그 앞에서 부끄러움을 당하지 않을 것입니다. 여러분이 하나님께서 의로우신 분임을 알면, 의를 행하는 사람은 누구나 다 하나님에게서 났음을 알 것입니다.And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

1 John 2:24-27

But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him.

1 John 2:18-23

This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist--he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

1 John 2:15-17

If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

1 John 2:12-14

자녀 된 이 여러분, 내가 여러분에게 이 글을 쓰는 까닭은, 그의 이름으로 여러분의 죄가 용서함을 받았기 때문입니다. 아버지 된 이 여러분, 내가 여러분에게 이 글을 쓰는 까닭은, 여러분이 태초부터 계신 분을 알고 있기 때문입니다. 젊은이 여러분, 내가 여러분에게 이 글을 쓰는 까닭은, 여러분이 이미 악한 자를 이겼기 때문입니다. 어린이 여러분, 내가 여러분에게 이 글을 쓰는 까닭은, 여러분이 이미 하늘 아버지를 알고 있기 때문입니다. 아버지 된 이 여러분, 내가 여러분에게 이 글을 쓰는 까닭은, 여러분이 태초부터 계신 분을 알고 있기 때문입니다. 젊은이 여러분, 내가 여러분에게 이 글을 쓰는 까닭은, 여러분이 강하고 하나님의 말씀이 여러분 속에 있어서, 여러분이 그 악한 자를 이겼기 때문입니다.I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name. I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children, because you have known the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

1 John 2:7-11

사랑하는 여러분, 내가 여러분에게 써 보내는 것은, 새 계명이 아니라, 여러분이 처음부터 가진 옛 계명입니다. 그 옛 계명은 여러분이 들은 그 말씀입니다. 나는 다시 여러분에게 새 계명을 써 보냅니다. 이 새 계명은 하나님께도 참되고 여러분에게도 참됩니다. 어둠이 지나가고, 참 빛이 벌써 비치고 있기 때문입니다. 빛 가운데 있다고 말하면서 자기 형제자매를 미워하는 사람은 아직도 어둠 속에 있습니다. 자기 형제자매를 사랑하는 사람은 빛 가운데 머물러 있으니, 그 사람 앞에는 올무가 없습니다.자기 형제자매를 미워하는 사람은 어둠 속에 있고, 어둠 속을 걷고 있으니, 자기가 어디로 가는지를 알지 못합니다. 어둠이 그의 눈을 가렸기 때문입니다.Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.
