Luke 1:26-38

The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you." Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God." "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

Luke 1:18-25

And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time."Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zechariah and wondering why he stayed so long in the temple. When he came out, he could not speak to them. They realized he had seen a vision in the temple, for he kept making signs to them but remained unable to speak. When his time of service was completed, he returned home. After this his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and for five months remained in seclusion. "The Lord has done this for me," she said. "In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people."

Luke 1:5-17

But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren; and they were both well along in years. Once when Zechariah's division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside.Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. But the angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth.Many of the people of Israel will he bring back to the Lord their God. And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous--to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

Luke 1:1-4

Jude 1:17-25

They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires." These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear--hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy-- to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Jude 1:12-16

They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever. Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him."These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.

Jude 1:8-11

Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals--these are the very things that destroy them.Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam's error; they have been destroyed in Korah's rebellion.

Jude 1:5-7

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

Jude 1:1-4

Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

3 John 1:9-14

Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God. Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone--and even by the truth itself. We also speak well of him, and you know that our testimony is true. I have much to write you, but I do not want to do so with pen and ink. I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face. Peace to you. The friends here send their greetings. 3 John 1:5-8

We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth.

3 John 1:1-4

2 John 1:7-13

Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him.Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work. I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete. The children of your chosen sister send their greetings.

2 John 1:1-6

It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another.And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

1 John 5:18-21

하나님에게서 태어난 사람은 누구든지 죄를 짓지 않는다는 것을, 우리는 압니다. 하나님에게서 태어나신 분이 그 사람을 지켜주시므로, 악마가 그를 해치지 못합니다. 우리가 하나님에게서 났다는 것을 우리는 압니다. 그런데, 온 세상은 악마의 세력 아래 놓여 있습니다. 하나님의 아들이 오셔서, 그 참되신 분을 알 수 있도록, 우리에게 이해력을 주신 것을 우리는 압니다. 우리는 그 참되신 분 곧 하나님의 아들 예수 그리스도 안에 있습니다. 이 분이 참 하나님이시요, 영원한 생명이십니다.자녀 된 이 여러분, 여러분은 우상을 멀리하십시오.We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him. We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.

1 John 5:16-17

누구든지 어떤 교우가 죄를 짓는 것을 볼 때에, 그것이 죽음에 이르게 하는 죄가 아니면, 하나님께 간구하십시오. 그리하면 하나님은, 죽을 죄는 짓지 않은 그 사람들에게 생명을 주실 것입니다. 죽을 죄가 있습니다. 이 죄를 두고 간구하라고 하는 말이 아닙니다. 불의한 것은 모두 죄입니다. 그러나 죽음에 이르지 않는 죄도 있습니다.If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

1 John 5:13-15

나는 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 사람들인 여러분에게 이 글을 씁니다. 그것은 여러분이 영원한 생명을 가지고 있다는 것을 알게 하려는 것입니다. 우리가 하나님에 대하여 가지는 담대함은 이것이니, 곧 무엇이든지 우리가 하나님의 뜻을 따라 구하면, 하나님은 우리의 청을 들어주신다는 것입니다. 우리가 무엇을 구하든지 하나님이 우리의 청을 들어주신다는 것을 알면, 우리가 하나님께 구한 것들은 우리가 받는다는 것도 압니다.I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.

1 John 5:6-12

그는 물과 피를 거쳐서 오신 분인데, 곧 예수 그리스도이십니다. 그는 다만 물로써 오신 것이 아니라 물과 피로써 오셨습니다. 성령은 증언하시는 분입니다. 성령은 곧 진리입니다. 증언하시는 이가 셋인데, 곧 성령과 물과 피입니다. 이 셋은 일치합니다. 우리가 사람의 증언도 받아들이거늘, 하나님의 증언은 더욱더 큰 것이 아니겠습니까? 하나님의 증언은 이것이니, 곧 하나님이 자기 아들에 관해서 증언하셨다는 것입니다. 하나님의 아들을 믿는 사람은 그 증언을 자기 속에 가지고 있습니다. 하나님을 믿지 않는 사람은 하나님을 거짓말쟁이로 만들었습니다. 하나님이 자기 아들에 관해서 증언하신 그 증언을 믿지 않았기 때문입니다.그 증언은 이것이니, 곧 하나님이 우리에게 영원한 생명을 주셨다는 것과, 바로 이 생명은 그 아들 안에 있다는 것입니다. 그 아들을 모시고 있는 사람은 생명을 가지고 있고, 하나님의 아들을 모시고 있지 않은 사람은 생명을 가지고 있지 않습니다.This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

1 John 5:1-5

예수가 그리스도이심을 믿는 사람은 다 하나님에게서 태어났습니다. 낳아주신 분을 사랑하는 사람은 다 그분이 낳으신 이도 사랑합니다. 우리가 하나님을 사랑하고, 또 그 계명을 지키면, 이로써 우리가 하나님의 자녀를 사랑한다는 것을 압니다. 하나님을 사랑하는 것은 그 계명을 지키는 것입니다. 하나님의 계명은 무거운 짐이 아닙니다. 하나님에게서 태어난 사람은 다 세상을 이기기 때문입니다. 세상을 이긴 승리는 이것이니, 곧 우리의 믿음입니다. 세상을 이기는 사람은 누구입니까? 예수가 하나님의 아들이심을 믿는 사람이 아니고 누구겠습니까?Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
