Luke 7:36-43

바리새파 사람 가운데에서 어떤 사람이 예수께 청하여, 자기와 함께 음식을 먹자고 하였다. 그래서 예수께서는 그 바리새파 사람의 집에 들어가셔서, 상에 앉으셨다. 그런데 그 동네에 죄인인 한 여자가 있었는데, 예수께서 바리새파 사람의 집에서 음식을 잡숫고 계신 것을 알고서, 향유가 담긴 옥합을 가지고 와서, 예수의 등 뒤에 발 곁에 서더니, 울면서, 눈물로 그 발을 적시고, 자기 머리털로 닦고, 그 발에 입을 맞추고, 향유를 발랐다. 예수를 초대한 바리새파 사람이 이것을 보고, 혼자 중얼거렸다. "이 사람이 예언자라면, 자기를 만지는 저 여자가 누구이며, 어떠한 여자인지 알았을 터인데! 그 여자는 죄인인데!" 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "시몬아, 네게 할 말이 있다." 시몬이 말했다. "선생님, 말씀하십시오." 예수께서 말씀하셨다."어떤 돈놀이꾼에게 빚진 사람 둘이 있었는데, 한 사람은 오백 데나리온을 빚지고, 또 한 사람은 오십 데나리온을 빚졌다. 둘이 다 갚을 길이 없으므로, 돈놀이꾼은 둘에게 빚을 없애주었다. 그러면 그 두 사람 가운데서 누가 그를 더 사랑하겠느냐?" 시몬이 대답하였다. "더 많이 빚을 없애준 사람이라고 생각합니다." 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "네 판단이 옳다."Now one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, so he went to the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table. When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is--that she is a sinner." Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to tell you." "Tell me, teacher," he said."Two men owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he canceled the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?" Simon replied, "I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled." "You have judged correctly," Jesus said.

Luke 7:28-35

내가 너희에게 말한다. 여자가 낳은 사람 가운데서, 세례자 요한보다 더 큰 인물이 없다. 그러나 하나님 나라에서는 가장 작은 자라도 요한보다 더 크다." （모든 백성과 심지어는 세리들까지도 요한의 설교를 듣고, 그의 세례를 받았다. 이렇게 하여 그들은 하나님의 옳으심을 드러냈다. 그러나 바리새파 사람들과 율법학자들은 요한에게서 세례를 받지 않음으로써 자기들에 대한 하나님의 계획을 물리쳤다.）"그러니, 이 세대 사람을 무엇에 비길까? 그들은 무엇과 같은가? 그들은 마치 어린이들이 장터에 앉아서, 서로 부르며 말하기를 '우리가 너희에게 피리를 불어도, 너희는 춤추지 않았고, 우리가 애곡을 하여도 너희는 울지 않았다' 하는 것과 같다. 세례자 요한이 와서, 빵도 먹지 않고 포도주도 마시지 않으니, 너희가 말하기를 '그는 귀신이 들렸다' 하고, 인자는 와서, 먹기도 하고 마시기도 하니, 너희가 말하기를 '보아라, 저 사람은 마구 먹어대는 자요, 포도주를 마시는 자요, 세리와 죄인의 친구다' 한다. 그러나 지혜의 자녀들이 결국 지혜가 옳다는 것을 드러냈다."I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he." (All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus' words, acknowledged that God's way was right, because they had been baptized by John. But the Pharisees and experts in the law rejected God's purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.)"To what, then, can I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to each other: " 'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not cry.' For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners." ' But wisdom is proved right by all her children."

Luke 7:24-27

요한의 심부름꾼들이 떠난 뒤에, 예수께서 요한에 대하여 무리에게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 무엇을 보러 광야에 나갔더냐? 바람에 흔들리는 갈대냐? 아니면, 무엇을 보러 나갔더냐? 비단 옷을 입은 사람이냐? 화려한 옷을 입고 호사스럽게 사는 사람은 왕궁에 있다.아니면, 무엇을 보러 나갔더냐? 예언자를 보려고 나갔더냐? 그렇다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 그는 예언자보다 더 위대한 인물이다. 이 사람에 대하여 성경에 기록하기를 '보아라. 내가 내 심부름꾼을 너보다 앞서 보낸다. 그가 네 앞에서 네 길을 닦을 것이다' 하였다.After John's messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: "What did you go out into the desert to see? A reed swayed by the wind? If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces.But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written: " 'I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.'

Luke 7:18-23

요한의 제자들이 이 모든 일을 요한에게 알렸다. 요한은 자기 제자 가운데서 두 사람을 불러, 주님께로 보내어 "선생님이 오실 그분입니까? 그렇지 않으면, 우리가 다른 분을 기다려야 합니까?" 하고 물어 보게 하였다. 그 사람들이 예수께 와서 말하였다. "세례자 요한이 우리를 선생님께로 보내어 '선생님이 오실 그분입니까? 그렇지 않으면, 우리가 다른 분을 기다려야 합니까?' 하고 물어 보라고 하였습니다."그 때에 예수께서는 질병과 고통과 악령으로 시달리는 사람을 많이 고쳐주시고, 또 눈먼 많은 사람을 볼 수 있게 해주셨다. 예수께서 그들에게 이렇게 대답하셨다. "너희가 보고 들은 것을, 가서 요한에게 알려라. 눈먼 사람이 다시 보고, 다리 저는 사람이 걷고, 나병환자가 깨끗해지고, 귀먹은 사람이 듣고, 죽은 사람이 살아나고, 가난한 사람이 복음을 듣는다. 나에게 걸려 넘어지지 않는 사람은 복이 있다."John's disciples told him about all these things. Calling two of them, he sent them to the Lord to ask, "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?" When the men came to Jesus, they said, "John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, 'Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?' "At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. So he replied to the messengers, "Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me."

Luke 7:11-17

그 뒤에 곧 예수께서 나인이라는 성읍으로 가시게 되었는데, 제자들과 큰 무리가 그와 동행하였다. 예수께서 성문에 가까이 이르셨을 때에, 사람들이 한 죽은 사람을 메고 나오고 있었다. 그 죽은 사람은 그의 어머니의 외아들이고, 그 여자는 과부였다. 그런데 그 성의 많은 사람이 그 여자와 함께 따라오고 있었다. 주님께서 그 여자를 보시고, 가엾게 여기셔서 말씀하셨다. "울지 말아라." 그리고 앞으로 나아가서, 관에 손을 대시니, 메고 가는 사람들이 멈추어 섰다. 예수께서 말씀하셨다. "젊은이야, 내가 네게 말한다. 일어나라." 그러자 죽은 사람이 일어나 앉아서, 말을 하기 시작하였다. 예수께서 그를 그 어머니에게 돌려주셨다.그래서 모두 두려움에 사로잡혀서, 하나님을 찬양하면서 말하기를 "우리에게 큰 예언자가 나타났다" 하고, 또 "하나님께서 자기 백성을 돌보아주셨다" 하였다. 예수의 이 이야기가 온 유대와 그 주위에 있는 모든 지역에 퍼졌다.Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out--the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, "Don't cry." Then he went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.They were all filled with awe and praised God. "A great prophet has appeared among us," they said. "God has come to help his people." This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country.

Luke 7:1-10

예수께서 자기의 모든 말씀을 백성들에게 들려주신 뒤에, 가버나움으로 가셨다. 어떤 백부장의 종이 병들어 거의 죽게 되었는데, 그는 주인에게 소중한 종이었다. 그 백부장이 예수의 소문을 듣고, 유대 사람들의 장로들을 예수께로 보내어 그에게 청하기를, 와서 자기 종을 낫게 해달라고 하였다. 그들이 예수께로 와서, 간곡히 탄원하기를 "그는 선생님에게서 은혜를 받을 만한 사람입니다. 그는 우리 민족을 사랑하는 사람이고, 우리에게 회당을 지어주었습니다" 하였다.예수께서 그들과 함께 가셨다. 예수께서 백부장의 집에서 그리 멀지 않은 곳에 이르렀을 때에, 백부장은 친구들을 보내어, 예수께 이렇게 아뢰게 하였다. "주님, 더 수고하실 것 없습니다. 저는 주님을 내 집에 모셔들일 만한 자격이 없습니다. 그래서 내가 주님께로 나아올 엄두도 못 냈습니다. 그저 말씀만 하셔서, 내 종을 낫게 해주십시오. 나도 상관을 모시는 사람이고, 내 밑에도 병사들이 있어서, 내가 이 사람더러 가라고 하면 가고, 저 사람더러 오라고 하면 옵니다. 또 내 종더러 이것을 하라고 하면 합니다." 예수께서 이 말을 들으시고, 그를 놀랍게 여기시어, 돌아서서, 자기를 따라오는 무리에게 말씀하셨다. "내가 너희에게 말한다. 나는 이스라엘 사람 가운데서는, 아직 이런 믿음을 본 일이 없다." 심부름 왔던 사람들이 집에 돌아가서 보니, 종은 나아 있었다.When Jesus had finished saying all this in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum. There a centurion's servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, "This man deserves to have you do this, because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue."So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it." When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel." Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.

Luke 6:46-49

어찌하여 너희는 나더러 '주님, 주님!' 하면서도, 내가 말하는 것은 행하지 않느냐? 내게 와서 내 말을 듣고 그대로 행하는 사람이 어떤 사람과 같은지를 너희에게 보여 주겠다. 그는 땅을 깊이 파고, 반석 위에다 기초를 놓고 집을 짓는 사람과 같다. 홍수가 나서 물살이 그 집에 들이쳐도, 그 집은 흔들리지도 않는다. 잘 지은 집이기 때문이다. 그러나 내 말을 듣고서도 그대로 행하지 않는 사람은, 기초 없이 맨 흙 위에다가 집을 지은 사람과 같다. 물살이 그 집에 들이치니, 그 집은 곧 무너져 버렸고, 그 집의 무너짐이 엄청났다.""Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."

Luke 6:43-45

좋은 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺지 않고, 또 나쁜 나무가 좋은 열매를 맺지 않는다. 나무는 각각 그 열매를 보면 안다. 가시나무에서 무화과를 거두어들이지 못하고, 가시덤불에서 포도를 따지 못한다. 선한 사람은 그 마음 속에 갈무리해 놓은 선 더미에서 선한 것을 내고, 악한 사람은 그 마음 속에 갈무리해 놓은 악 더미에서 악한 것을 낸다. 마음에 가득 찬 것을 입으로 말하는 법이다."No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

Luke 6:37-42

남을 심판하지 말아라. 그리하면 하나님께서도 너희를 심판하지 않으실 것이다. 남을 정죄하지 말아라. 그리하면 하나님께서도 너희를 정죄하지 않으실 것이다. 남을 용서하여라. 그리하면 하나님께서도 너희를 용서하실 것이다. 남에게 주어라. 그리하면 하나님께서도 너희에게 주실 것이니, 되를 누르고 흔들어서, 넘치도록 후하게 되어서, 너희 품에 안겨 주실 것이다. 너희가 되질하여 주는 그 되로 너희에게 도로 되어서 주실 것이다." 예수께서 그들에게 또 비유 하나를 말씀하셨다. "눈먼 사람이 눈먼 사람을 인도할 수 있느냐? 둘이 다 구덩이에 빠지지 않겠느냐? 제자는 스승보다 높지 않다. 그러나 누구든지 다 배우고 나면, 자기의 스승과 같이 될 것이다.어찌하여 너는 남의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보면서, 네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 깨닫지 못하느냐? 너는 네 눈 속에 있는 들보를 보지 못하면서, 어떻게 남에게 '친구야, 내가 네 눈 속에 있는 티를 빼내 줄 테니 가만히 있어라' 하고 말할 수 있겠느냐? 위선자야, 먼저 네 눈에서 들보를 빼내어라. 그리해야 그 때에 네가 똑똑히 보게 되어서, 남의 눈 속에 있는 티를 빼 줄 수 있을 것이다."Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher."Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Luke 6:27-36

그러나 내 말을 듣고 있는 너희에게 내가 말한다. 너희의 원수를 사랑하여라. 너희를 미워하는 사람들에게 잘 해 주고, 너희를 저주하는 사람들을 축복하고, 너희를 모욕하는 사람들을 위하여 기도하여라. 네 뺨을 치는 사람에게는 다른 쪽 뺨도 돌려대고, 네 겉옷을 빼앗는 사람에게는 속옷도 거절하지 말아라. 너에게 달라는 사람에게는 주고, 네 것을 가져가는 사람에게서 도로 찾으려고 하지 말아라.너희는 남에게 대접을 받고자 하는 대로 남을 대접하여라. 너희가 너희를 사랑하는 사람들만 사랑하면, 그것이 너희에게 무슨 장한 일이 되겠느냐? 죄인들도 자기네를 사랑하는 사람들을 사랑한다. 너희를 좋게 대하여 주는 사람들에게만 너희가 좋게 대하면, 그것이 너희에게 무슨 장한 일이 되겠느냐? 죄인들도 그만한 일은 한다. 도로 받을 생각으로 남에게 꾸어 주면, 그것이 너희에게 무슨 장한 일이 되겠느냐? 죄인들도 고스란히 되받을 요량으로 죄인들에게 꾸어 준다. 그러나 너희는 너희 원수를 사랑하고, 좋게 대하여 주고, 또 아무것도 바라지 말고 꾸어 주어라. 그리하면 너희는 큰 상을 받을 것이요, 더없이 높으신 분의 아들이 될 것이다. 그분은 은혜를 모르는 사람들과 악한 사람들에게도 인자하시다.너희의 아버지께서 자비로우신 것 같이, 너희도 자비로운 사람이 되어라."But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.Do to others as you would have them do to you. "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Luke 6:20-26

예수께서 눈을 들어 제자들을 보시고 말씀하셨다. "너희 가난한 사람들은 복이 있다. 하나님의 나라가 너희의 것이다.너희 지금 굶주리는 사람들은 복이 있다. 너희가 배부르게 될 것이다. 너희 지금 슬피 우는 사람들은 복이 있다. 너희가 웃게 될 것이다. 사람들이 너희를 미워하고, 인자 때문에 너희를 배척하고, 욕하고, 너희의 이름을 악하다고 내칠 때에는, 너희는 복이 있다. 그 날에 기뻐하고 뛰놀아라. 보아라, 하늘에서 받을 너희의 상이 크다. 그들의 조상들이 예언자들에게 이와 같이 행하였다. 그러나 너희, 부요한 사람들은 화가 있다. 너희가 너희의 위안을 받고 있기 때문이다. 너희, 지금 배부른 사람들은 화가 있다. 너희가 굶주리게 될 것이기 때문이다. 너희, 지금 웃는 사람들은 화가 있다. 너희가 슬퍼하며 울 것이기 때문이다.모든 사람이 너희를 좋게 말할 때에, 너희는 화가 있다. 그들의 조상들이 거짓 예언자들에게 이와 같이 행하였다.Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. "Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets. "But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.

Luke 6:17-19

예수께서 그들과 함께 산에서 내려오셔서, 평지에 서셨다. 거기에 그의 제자들이 큰 무리를 이루고, 또 온 유대와 예루살렘과 두로 및 시돈 해안 지방에서 모여든 많은 백성이 큰 무리를 이루었다. 그들은 예수의 말씀도 듣고, 또 자기들의 병도 고치고자 하여 몰려온 사람들이다. 악한 귀신에게 고통을 당하던 사람들은 고침을 받았다. 온 무리가 예수에게 손이라도 대보려고 애를 썼다. 예수에게서 능력이 나와서 그들을 모두 낫게 하였기 때문이다.He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coast of Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by evil spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.

Luke 6:12-16

그 무렵에 예수께서 기도하려고 산으로 떠나가서, 밤을 새우면서 하나님께 기도하셨다. 날이 밝을 때에, 예수께서 자기의 제자들을 부르시고, 그 가운데서 열둘을 뽑으셨다. 그는 그들을 사도라고도 부르셨는데, 열둘은 베드로라고도 이름을 주신 시몬과 그의 동생 안드레, 그리고 야고보와 요한과 빌립과 바돌로매와 마태와 도마와 알패오의 아들 야고보와 열심당원이라고도 하는 시몬과야고보의 아들 유다와 배반자가 된 가룟 유다이다.One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles: Simon (whom he named Peter), his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot,Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

Luke 6:1-11

한 안식일에 예수께서 밀밭 사이로 지나가시게 되었다. 그런데 그의 제자들이 밀 이삭을 잘라, 손으로 비벼서 먹었다. 그러자 몇몇 바리새파 사람이 말하였다. "어찌하여 당신들은 안식일에 해서는 안 되는 일을 합니까?" 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. "다윗과 그 일행이 주렸을 때에, 다윗이 한 일을 너희는 읽어보지 못하였느냐? 다윗이 하나님의 집에 들어가서, 제사장들 밖에는 먹어서는 안 되는 제단 빵을 집어서 먹고, 자기 일행에게도 주지 않았느냐?" 그리고 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "인자는 안식일의 주인이다."또 다른 안식일에 예수께서 회당에 들어가서 가르치시는데, 거기에는 오른손이 오그라든 사람이 있었다. 율법학자들과 바리새파 사람들은 예수를 고발할 구실을 찾으려고, 예수가 안식일에 병을 고치시는지 엿보고 있었다. 예수께서 그들의 생각을 아시고, 손이 오그라든 사람에게 말씀하셨다. "일어나서, 가운데 서라." 그래서 그는 일어나서 섰다. 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희에게 물어 보겠다. 안식일에 착한 일을 하는 것이 옳으냐? 악한 일을 하는 것이 옳으냐? 목숨을 건지는 것이 옳으냐? 죽이는 것이 옳으냐?" 예수께서 그들을 모두 둘러보시고서, 그 사람에게 명하셨다. "네 손을 내밀어라." 그 사람이 그렇게 하니, 그의 손이 회복되었다.그들은 화가 잔뜩 나서, 예수를 어떻게 할까 하고 서로 의논하였다.One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels. Some of the Pharisees asked, "Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?" Jesus answered them, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He entered the house of God, and taking the consecrated bread, he ate what is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions." Then Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled. The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Get up and stand in front of everyone." So he got up and stood there. Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?" He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and his hand was completely restored.But they were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.

Luke 5:33-39

사람들이 예수께 말하였다. "요한의 제자들은 자주 금식하며 기도하고, 바리새파 사람의 제자들도 그렇게 하는데, 당신의 제자들은 먹고 마시는군요." 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "새 옷에서 한 조각을 떼어내서, 낡은 옷에다가 대고 깁는 사람은 없다. 그렇게 하면, 그 새 옷은 찢어져서 못 쓰게 되고, 또 새 옷에서 떼어낸 조각은 낡은 옷에 어울리지도 않을 것이다. 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에다가 넣는 사람은 없다. 그렇게 하면, 새 포도주가 그 가죽 부대를 터뜨릴 것이며, 그래서 포도주는 쏟아지고 가죽 부대는 못 쓰게 될 것이다. 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣어야 한다. 묵은 포도주를 마시고 나서, 새 포도주를 원하는 사람은 없다. 묵은 포도주를 마신 사람은 묵은 것이 좋다고 한다."They said to him, "John's disciples often fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours go on eating and drinking." Jesus answered, "Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; in those days they will fast."He told them this parable: "No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, 'The old is better.' "

Luke 5:27-32

"건강한 사람에게는 의사가 필요하지 않으나, 병든 사람에게는 필요하다. 나는 의인을 부르러 온 것이 아니라, 죄인을 불러서 회개시키러 왔다."After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him. Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Luke 5:17-26

'네 죄가 용서받았다' 하고 말하는 것과 '일어나서 걸어가거라' 하고 말하는 것 가운데서 어느 쪽이 더 말하기가 쉬우냐? 그러나 너희는 인자가 땅에서 죄를 용서하는 권세를 가지고 있음을 알아야 한다." 그리고 예수께서 중풍병 환자에게 말씀하셨다. "내가 너에게 말한다. 일어나서 네 침상을 치워 들고 네 집으로 가거라." 그러자 곧 그는 사람들 앞에서 일어나, 자기가 누웠던 침상을 거두어 들고, 하나님을 찬양하면서, 집으로 갔다.사람들은 모두 놀라서, 하나님을 찬양하였으며, 두려움에 차서 말하였다. "우리는 오늘 신기한 일을 보았다."One day as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick. Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, he said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven."The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, "Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, "Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...." He said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God.Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, "We have seen remarkable things today."

Luke 5:12-16

"가서, 제사장에게 네 몸을 보이고, 네가 깨끗하게 된 것에 대하여 모세가 명한 대로 예물을 드려서 사람들에게 증거로 삼아라." 그러나 예수의 소문이 더욱더 퍼지니, 큰 무리가 그의 말씀도 듣고, 또 자기들의 병도 고치고자 하여 모여들었다.그러나 예수께서는 외딴 데로 물러가서 기도하셨다.While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" And immediately the leprosy left him. Then Jesus ordered him, "Don't tell anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them." Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses.But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

Luke 5:1-11

He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets."When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!" For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon's partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men."

Luke 4:38-44

예수께서 회당을 떠나서, 시몬의 집으로 들어가셨다. 그런데 시몬의 장모가 심한 열병으로 앓고 있어서, 사람들이 그 여자를 두고 예수께 청하였다. 예수께서 그 여자에게 다가서서 굽어보시고, 열병을 꾸짖으셨다. 그러자 열병이 물러가고, 그 여자는 곧 일어나서 그들에게 시중을 들었다. 해가 질 때에 사람들이 온갖 병으로 앓는 사람들을 다 예수께로 데려왔다. 예수께서는 한 사람 한 사람에게 손을 얹어서, 고쳐주셨다.또 귀신들도 많은 사람에게서 떠나가며, 소리를 질렀다. "당신은 하나님의 아들입니다." 그러나 예수께서는 꾸짖으시며, 귀신들이 말하는 것을 허락하지 않으셨다. 그들이 그가 그리스도임을 알았기 때문이다. 날이 새니, 예수께서 나가셔서, 외딴 곳으로 가셨다. 무리가 예수를 찾아다니다가, 그에게 와서, 자기들에게서 떠나가지 못하시게, 자기네 곁에 모셔두려고 하였다. 그러나 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "나는 다른 동네에서도 하나님 나라의 복음을 전해야 한다. 나는 이 일을 위하여 보내심을 받았기 때문이다." 그리고 예수께서는 유대의 여러 회당에서 복음을 선포하셨다.Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them. When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, "You are the Son of God!" But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ. At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them. But he said, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent." And he kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

Luke 4:31-37

예수께서 갈릴리의 가버나움 동네로 내려가셔서, 안식일에 사람들을 가르치셨다. 그런데 사람들은 그의 가르침에 놀랐으니, 그의 말씀이 권위가 있었기 때문이다. 그 때에 그 회당에 악한 귀신의 영이 들린 사람이 하나 있었는데, 그가 큰 소리로 이렇게 외쳤다. "아, 나사렛 예수님, 왜 우리를 간섭하십니까? 우리를 없애려고 오셨습니까? 나는 당신이 누구인지 압니다. 하나님께서 보내신 거룩한 분입니다." 예수께서 그를 꾸짖어 말씀하셨다. "입을 닥치고, 그 사람에게서 나가라!" 그러자 귀신이 그를 사람들 한가운데다가 쓰러뜨려 놓고 그에게서 떠나갔는데, 그에게 상처는 입히지 않았다.사람들이 모두 놀라서 서로 말하였다. "이 말이 대체 무엇이냐? 그가 권위와 능력을 가지고 악한 귀신들에게 명하니, 그들이 떠나가는구나." 그리하여 예수의 소문이 그 근처 모든 곳에 퍼졌다.Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath began to teach the people. They were amazed at his teaching, because his message had authority. In the synagogue there was a man possessed by a demon, an evilspirit. He cried out at the top of his voice, "Ha! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!" "Be quiet!" Jesus said sternly. "Come out of him!" Then the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without injuring him.All the people were amazed and said to each other, "What is this teaching? With authority and power he gives orders to evil spirits and they come out!" And the news about him spread throughout the surrounding area.

Luke 4:14-30

예수께서 성령의 능력을 입고 갈릴리로 돌아오셨다. 예수의 소문이 사방의 온 지역에 두루 퍼졌다. 그는 유대 사람의 여러 회당에서 가르치셨으며, 모든 사람에게서 영광을 받으셨다.예수께서는, 자기가 자라나신 나사렛에 오셔서, 늘 하시던 대로 안식일에 회당에 들어가셨다. 그는 성경을 읽으려고 일어서서 예언자 이사야의 두루마리를 건네 받아서, 그것을 펴시어, 이런 말씀이 있는 데를 찾으셨다. "주님의 영이 내게 내리셨다. 주님께서 내게 기름을 부으셔서, 가난한 사람에게 기쁜 소식을 전하게 하셨다. 주님께서 나를 보내셔서, 포로 된 사람들에게 해방을 선포하고, 눈먼 사람들에게 눈 뜸을 선포하고, 억눌린 사람들을 풀어 주고, 주님의 은혜의 해를 선포하게 하셨다." 예수께서 두루마리를 말아서, 시중드는 사람에게 되돌려주시고, 앉으셨다. 회당에 있는 모든 사람의 눈은 예수께로 쏠렸다.예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "이 성경 말씀이 너희가 듣는 가운데서 오늘 이루어졌다." 사람들은 모두 감탄하고, 그의 입에서 나오는 그 은혜로운 말씀에 놀라서 "이 사람은 요셉의 아들이 아닌가?" 하고 말하였다. 그래서 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 틀림없이 '의사야, 네 병이나 고쳐라' 하는 속담을 내게다 끌어대면서, '우리가 들은 대로 당신이 가버나움에서 했다는 모든 일을, 여기 당신의 고향에서도 해보시오' 하고 말하려고 한다." 예수께서 또 말씀하셨다. "내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 아무 예언자도 자기 고향에서는 환영을 받지 못한다. 내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 엘리야 시대에 삼 년 육 개월 동안 하늘이 닫혀서 온 땅에 기근이 심했을 때에, 이스라엘에 과부들이 많이 있었지만,하나님이 엘리야를 그 많은 과부 가운데서 다른 아무에게도 보내지 않으시고, 오직 시돈에 있는 사렙다 마을의 한 과부에게만 보내셨다. 또 예언자 엘리사 시대에 이스라엘에 나병환자가 많이 있었지만, 그들 가운데서 아무도 고침을 받지 못하고, 오직 시리아 사람 나아만만이 고침을 받았다." 회당에 모인 사람들은 이 말씀을 듣고서, 모두 화가 잔뜩 났다. 그래서 그들은 들고일어나 예수를 동네 밖으로 내쫓았다. 그들의 동네가 산 위에 있으므로, 그들은 예수를 산 벼랑까지 끌고 가서, 거기에서 밀쳐 떨어뜨리려고 하였다. 그러나 예수께서는 그들의 한가운데를 지나서 떠나가셨다.Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him,and he began by saying to them, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing." All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. "Isn't this Joseph's son?" they asked. Jesus said to them, "Surely you will quote this proverb to me: 'Physician, heal yourself! Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.' " "I tell you the truth," he continued, "no prophet is accepted in his hometown. I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah's time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land.Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed--only Naaman the Syrian." All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff. But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.
