2 John 1:1-6

It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another.And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

1 John 5:18-21

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.

1 John 5:13-17

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

1 John 5:6-12

그는 물과 피를 거쳐서 오신 분인데, 곧 예수 그리스도이십니다. 그는 다만 물로써 오신 것이 아니라 물과 피로써 오셨습니다. 성령은 증언하시는 분입니다. 성령은 곧 진리입니다. 증언하시는 이가 셋인데, 곧 성령과 물과 피입니다. 이 셋은 일치합니다. 우리가 사람의 증언도 받아들이거늘, 하나님의 증언은 더욱더 큰 것이 아니겠습니까? 하나님의 증언은 이것이니, 곧 하나님이 자기 아들에 관해서 증언하셨다는 것입니다. 하나님의 아들을 믿는 사람은 그 증언을 자기 속에 가지고 있습니다. 하나님을 믿지 않는 사람은 하나님을 거짓말쟁이로 만들었습니다. 하나님이 자기 아들에 관해서 증언하신 그 증언을 믿지 않았기 때문입니다.그 증언은 이것이니, 곧 하나님이 우리에게 영원한 생명을 주셨다는 것과, 바로 이 생명은 그 아들 안에 있다는 것입니다. 그 아들을 모시고 있는 사람은 생명을 가지고 있고, 하나님의 아들을 모시고 있지 않은 사람은 생명을 가지고 있지 않습니다.This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

1 John 5:1-5

예수가 그리스도이심을 믿는 사람은 다 하나님에게서 태어났습니다. 낳아주신 분을 사랑하는 사람은 다 그분이 낳으신 이도 사랑합니다. 우리가 하나님을 사랑하고, 또 그 계명을 지키면, 이로써 우리가 하나님의 자녀를 사랑한다는 것을 압니다. 하나님을 사랑하는 것은 그 계명을 지키는 것입니다. 하나님의 계명은 무거운 짐이 아닙니다. 하나님에게서 태어난 사람은 다 세상을 이기기 때문입니다. 세상을 이긴 승리는 이것이니, 곧 우리의 믿음입니다. 세상을 이기는 사람은 누구입니까? 예수가 하나님의 아들이심을 믿는 사람이 아니고 누구겠습니까?Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

1 John 4:16-21

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

1 John 4:9-15

하나님의 사랑이 우리에게 이렇게 드러났으니, 곧 하나님이 자기 외아들을 세상에 보내주셔서 우리로 하여금 그로 말미암아 살게 해주신 것입니다. 사랑은 이 사실에 있으니, 곧 우리가 하나님을 사랑한 것이 아니라, 하나님이 우리를 사랑하셔서, 자기 아들을 보내어 우리의 죄를 위하여 화목제물이 되게 하신 것입니다.사랑하는 여러분, 하나님께서 이렇게까지 우리를 사랑하셨으니, 우리도 서로 사랑해야 합니다. 지금까지 하나님을 본 사람은 없습니다. 그러나 우리가 서로 사랑하면, 하나님이 우리 가운데 계시고, 또 하나님의 사랑이 우리 가운데서 완성된 것입니다. 하나님이 우리에게 자기 영을 나누어 주셨습니다. 이것으로 우리가 하나님 안에 있고, 또 하나님이 우리 안에 계시다는 것을 우리는 압니다. 우리는 아버지께서 아들을 세상의 구주로 보내신 것을 보았고, 또 그것을 증언합니다. 누구든지 예수를 하나님의 아들로 시인하면, 하나님이 그 사람 안에 계시고, 그 사람은 하나님 안에 있습니다.This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.

1 John 4:5-8

This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 John 4:1-5

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.

1 John 3:19-24

이렇게 함으로써 우리는 우리가 진리에서 났음을 알게 될 것입니다. 또 우리는 하나님 앞에서 확신을 가지게 될 것입니다.우리가 마음에 가책을 받는다 하더라도 우리는 그러한 확신을 가지게 될 것입니다. 하나님은 우리 마음보다 크신 분이시고, 또 모든 것을 알고 계시기 때문입니다.사랑하는 여러분, 우리가 마음에 가책을 받지 않으면, 우리는 하나님 앞에서 담대함을 가지고 있는 것이요, 우리가 구하는 것은 무엇이든지 하나님에게서 받을 것입니다. 우리가 하나님의 계명을 지키고, 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 일을 하기 때문입니다. 하나님의 계명은 이것이니, 곧 그 아들 예수 그리스도의 이름을 믿고, 그리스도께서 우리에게 명하신 대로 서로 사랑하라는 것입니다. 그리스도의 계명을 지키는 사람은 그리스도 안에 있고, 그리스도께서도 그 사람 안에 계십니다. 그리스도께서 우리 안에 계시다는 것을, 그가 우리에게 주신 성령으로 우리는 압니다.This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

1 John 3:16-18

그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 자기 목숨을 버리셨습니다. 이것으로 우리가 사랑을 알게 되었습니다. 그러므로 우리도 형제자매를 위하여 목숨을 버리는 것이 마땅합니다. 누구든지 세상 재물을 가지고 있으면서, 자기 형제자매의 궁핍함을 보고도, 마음 문을 닫고 도와주지 않으면, 어떻게 하나님의 사랑이 그 사람 속에 머물겠습니까? 자녀 된 이 여러분, 우리는 말이나 혀로 사랑하지 말고, 행동과 진실함으로 사랑합시다.This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

1 John 3:11-15

Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

1 John 3:7-10

자녀 된 이 여러분, 아무에게도 미혹을 당하지 마십시오. 의를 행하는 사람은 하나님이 의로우신 것과 같이 의롭습니다. 죄를 짓는 사람은 악마에게 속해 있습니다. 악마는 처음부터 죄를 짓는 자이기 때문입니다. 하나님의 아들이 나타나신 목적은 악마의 일을 멸하시려는 것입니다. 하나님에게서 난 사람은 누구나 죄를 짓지 않습니다. 하나님의 씨가 그 사람 속에 있기 때문입니다. 그는 죄를 지을 수 없습니다. 그가 하나님에게서 났기 때문입니다. 하나님의 자녀와 악마의 자녀가 여기에서 환히 드러납니다. 곧 의를 행하지 않는 사람과 자기 형제자매를 사랑하지 않는 사람은 누구나 하나님에게서 난 사람이 아닙니다.Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

1 John 3:1-6

And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears,we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure. Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

1 John 2:28-29

그러므로 자녀 된 이 여러분, 그리스도 안에 머물러 있으십시오. 그렇게 해야 그가 나타나실 때에 우리가 담대함을 가지게 될 것이며, 그가 오실 때에 그 앞에서 부끄러움을 당하지 않을 것입니다. 여러분이 하나님께서 의로우신 분임을 알면, 의를 행하는 사람은 누구나 다 하나님에게서 났음을 알 것입니다.And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

1 John 2:24-27

If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us--even eternal life.I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him.

1 John 2:18-23

This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist--he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
