Psalms 40 (성경통독): Here, David hit the nail. It's not really about what action we take to please God. Rather, David says: Doing something for you, bringing something to you— that’s not what you’re after. Being religious, acting pious— that’s not what you’re asking for. You’ve opened my ears so I can listen.
I think it's important to empty ourselves so that the word of God can enter our lives, becomes part of my very being. As David said it, we are nothing without God. It's God who empowers us and makes us ready to face our daily lives: I’m a mess. I’m nothing and have nothing: make something of me. You can do it; you’ve got what it takes— but God, don’t put it off.
