Jeremiah 11:1-14 (성경통독); Here, the Lord through Jeremiah reminds the people of Jerusalem and Judah the covenant He had set up with their ancestors (“Obey me and do everything I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God.”). But as much as their ancestors failed to do so, the current generation does not seem to be better at it as they also continue to fail to obey the Lord. Therefore, the Lord commands Jeremiah as follows: “Do not pray for this people or offer any plea or petition for them, because I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their distress.”
