Jeremiah 23:1-8 (성경통독): Here is a message of doom to the shepherd-leaders who butcher and scatter His sheep! God warns them that He is keeping His eye on them, keeping track of their criminal behavior. He will take over and gather what’s left of His sheep, gather them in from all the lands where He has driven them. At the same time, He also gives hope to the lands of Judah and Israel saying that He will raise up for David[a] a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.
