그러므로 이렇게 구름 떼와 같이 수많은 증인이 우리를 둘러싸고 있으니, 우리도 갖가지 무거운 짐과 얽매는 죄를 벗어버리고, 우리 앞에 놓인 달음질을 참으면서 달려갑시다.
믿음의 창시자요 완성자이신 예수를 바라봅시다. 그는 자기 앞에 놓여 있는 기쁨을 내다보고서, 부끄러움을 마음에 두지 않으시고, 십자가를 참으셨습니다. 그리하여 그는 하나님의 보좌 오른쪽에 앉으셨습니다.
자기에 대한 죄인들의 이러한 반항을 참아내신 분을 생각하십시오. 그리하면 여러분은 낙심하여 지치는 일이 없을 것입니다; Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

--- our faith in Christ can only come from Him and be based on Him....
--- Christ truly knew what opportunity cost He would have to pay, obviously a more rewarding one...
- those who follow His path will not grow weary and lose heart.
