Gaza will be abandoned and Ashkelon left in ruins. At midday Ashdod will be emptied and Ekron uprooted. Woe to you who live by the sea, O Kerethite people; the word of the LORD is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines. "I will destroy you, and none will be left."The land by the sea, where the Kerethites dwell, will be a place for shepherds and sheep pens. It will belong to the remnant of the house of Judah; there they will find pasture. In the evening they will lie down in the houses of Ashkelon. 바닷가에서 사는 자들아, 그렛 섬에서 사는 민족아, 너희에게 재앙이 닥칠 것이다. 블레셋 땅 가나안아, 주님께서 너희에게 판결을 내리신다. "내가 너희를 없애 버려서 아무도 살아 남지 못하게 하겠다."바닷가의 땅은 풀밭이 되고, 거기에 목동의 움막과 양 떼의 우리가 생길 것이다. 바닷가 일대는, 살아 남은 유다 가문의 몫이 될 것이다. 거기에서 양 떼를 먹이다가 해가 지면, 아스글론에 있는 집으로 가서 누울 것이다. 주 그들의 하나님이 그들을 돌보셔서 사로잡혀 있는 곳에서 돌아가게 하실 것이다.

We can see different judgments toward the people. Toward the people whom God hates, He prophesies destruction and abandonment. Toward the people whom God desires, He prophesies pasture and restoration of fortunes....To which group would I want to belong? God is certainly a loving God and He really desires to commune and interact with us. But at the same time, we have to obey His word.
