2 Samuel 5 (성경통독): God spoke to David and confirmed his kingship over Israel saying: "‘You will shepherd my people Israel and you’ll be the prince.’” From then on, David was able to establish a strong rule and captured the fortress of Zion, known ever since as the City of David. We can also see how God consistently conversed with David as he sought out and inquired to Him during important moments such as when he had to think whether or not he should go up and fight them. In each instance, God spoke to him directly and gave him instructions which David obeyed as exactly instructed.
