Luke 1:26-38 (성경통독): Here, we can see how the birth of Jesus is being foretold as the angel approached Mary went to her and said: “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Though Mary reacts surprised and troubled at the angel’s words at first, she is obedient to the fact that she will conceive and give birth to the Son of God as “the Holy Spirit will come on her, and the power of the Most High will overshadow her.” She seems submissive to the word of the Lord as she says: “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.”
