Acts 11

내가 말을 하기 시작하니, 성령이 처음에 우리에게 내리시던 것과 같이, 그들에게도 내리셨습니다.그 때에 나는 '요한은 물로 세례를 주었지만, 너희는 성령으로 세례를 받을 것이다' 하신 주님의 말씀이 생각났습니다.
그러므로 하나님께서는, 우리가 주 예수 그리스도를 믿을 때에 우리에게 주신 것과 같은 선물을 그들에게 주셨는데, 내가 누구이기에 감히 하나님을 거역할 수 있겠습니까?"
이 말을 듣고 그들은 잠잠하였다. 그들은 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 "이제 하나님께서는, 이방 사람들에게도 회개하여 생명에 이르는 길을 열어 주셨다" 하고 말하였다."As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.Then I remembered what the Lord had said: 'John baptized withwater, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'
So if God gave them the same gift as he gave us, who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could oppose God?"
When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life."

바나바는 사울을 찾으려고 다소로 가서,그를 만나 안디옥으로 데려왔다. 두 사람은 일 년 동안 줄곧 거기에 머물면서, 교회에서 모임을 가지고, 많은 사람을 가르쳤다. 제자들은 안디옥에서 처음으로 '그리스도인'이라고 불리었다.Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
