James 5:17-20

엘리야는 우리와 같은 본성을 가진 사람이었지만, 비가 오지 않도록 해 달라고 간절히 기도하니, 삼 년 육 개월 동안이나 땅에 비가 내리지 않았으며, 다시 기도하니, 하늘이 비를 내리고, 땅은 그 열매를 맺었습니다.
나의 형제자매 여러분, 여러분 가운데서 진리를 떠나 그릇된 길을 가는 사람이 있을 때에, 누구든지 그를 돌아서게 하는 사람은 이 사실을 알아두십시오. 죄인을 그릇된 길에서 돌아서게 하는 사람은 그 죄인의 영혼을 죽음에서 구할 것이고, 또 많은 죄를 덮어줄 것입니다.Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
