Luke 16:25-31

그러나 아브라함이 말하였다. '얘야, 되돌아보아라. 네가 살아 있을 동안에 너는 온갖 호사를 다 누렸지만, 나사로는 온갖 괴로움을 다 겪었다. 그래서 그는 지금 여기서 위로를 받고, 너는 고통을 받는다.그뿐만 아니라, 우리와 너희 사이에는 큰 구렁텅이가 가로 놓여 있어서, 여기에서 너희에게로 건너가고자 해도 갈 수 없고, 거기에서 우리에게로 건너올 수도 없다.' 부자가 말하였다. '조상님, 소원입니다. 그를 내 아버지 집으로 보내 주십시오. 나는 형제가 다섯이나 있습니다. 제발 나사로가 가서 그들에게 경고하여, 그들만은 고통 받는 이 곳에 오지 않게 하여 주십시오.' 그러나 아브라함이 말하였다. '그들에게는 모세와 예언자들이 있으니, 그들의 말을 들어야 한다.' 부자는 대답하였다. '아닙니다. 아브라함 조상님, 죽은 사람들 가운데서 누가 살아나서 그들에게로 가야만, 그들이 회개할 것입니다.'아브라함이 그에게 대답하였다. '그들이 모세와 예언자들의 말을 듣지 않는다면, 죽은 사람들 가운데서 누가 살아난다고 해도, 그들은 믿지 않을 것이다.'""But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' " 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "
