1 Peter 1:1-2

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God's elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia are all places mentioned in Acts where Christianity first spread.....

It's interesting how Peter tries to strengthen and encourage the disciples in places where the word was spread in the beginning after Christ's ascension. It's the "sanctifying work of the Spirit" who continuously lives in the lives of the disciples, including us. It's also our accountability to constantly check on ourselves if we are being touched by the sprinkling of his blood in our daily lives, which which can only be achieved as we draw near to Him with obedience.
