그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 자기 목숨을 버리셨습니다. 이것으로 우리가 사랑을 알게 되었습니다. 그러므로 우리도 형제자매를 위하여 목숨을 버리는 것이 마땅합니다.
누구든지 세상 재물을 가지고 있으면서, 자기 형제자매의 궁핍함을 보고도, 마음 문을 닫고 도와주지 않으면, 어떻게 하나님의 사랑이 그 사람 속에 머물겠습니까?
자녀 된 이 여러분, 우리는 말이나 혀로 사랑하지 말고, 행동과 진실함으로 사랑합시다.This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

This love is not exercised with words or tongue but with real actions and in truth....
I believe that this act of love can only be carried out under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If we were to rely on human efforts, then anything we do would last only temporarily. Therefore, we firstly have to get to the truth which will convict us and lead us to see what God really wants us to do in regards to certain individuals around us.
