Galatians 6:11-14
See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!
Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.
Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh.
May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Looking at this paragraph, we ought to ask what meaning the "cross of our Lord Jesus Christ" has in our lives. As disciples of Christ, can we bear the persecution for the cross of Christ? Also, do we boast in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ or do we try to turn our back from it if we are in threatening situations? I pray that the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ will not become a burden to us but rather something we can be proud of and something that we are willing to bear wholeheartedly with thanksgiving. If we don't want to boast about our flesh, then we ought to hang on to the cross and look upon it. That's the only way we can have hope in Christ. Amen!
