2 Timothy 1:8-11

그러므로 그대는 우리 주님에 대하여 증언하는 일이나 주님을 위하여 갇힌 몸이 된 나를 부끄러워하지 말고, 하나님의 능력을 힘입어 복음을 위하여 고난을 함께 겪으십시오. 하나님께서 우리를 구원해 주시고, 거룩한 부르심으로 불러주셨습니다. 그것은 우리의 행실을 따라 하신 것이 아니요, 하나님의 계획과 은혜를 따라 하신 것입니다. 이 은혜는 영원 전에 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리에게 주신 것인데, 이제는 우리 구주 그리스도 예수께서 나타나심으로 환히 드러났습니다. 그리스도께서는 죽음을 폐하시고, 복음으로 생명과 썩지 않음을 환히 보이셨습니다.나는 이 복음을 전하는 선포자와 사도와 교사로 임명을 받았습니다.So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher.
