1 John 1:5-7
우리가 그리스도에게서 들어서 여러분에게 전하는 소식은 이것이니, 곧 하나님은 빛이시요, 하나님 안에는 어둠이 전혀 없다는 것입니다.우리가 하나님과 사귀고 있다고 말하면서, 그대로 어둠 속에서 살아가면, 우리는 거짓말을 하는 것이요, 진리를 행하지 않는 것입니다.
그러나 하나님께서 빛 가운데 계신 것과 같이, 우리가 빛 가운데 살아가면, 우리는 서로 사귐을 가지게 되고, 하나님의 아들 예수의 피가 우리를 모든 죄에서 깨끗하게 해주십니다.This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

The problem is that we don't walk in the light all the time. We need purification from all our sin since we claim to walk in the light but yet walk in the darkness. Sometimes, we may think that we walk in the light but yet don't really do so; however, we think of ourselves being holy and purified. We are by default sinners and although Christ's blood shed on the cross has reconciled us with God. But yet we still struggle to walk in the light and continue to live in sin. And therefore, we need His purification from all our sin. Amen!
