1 John 3:7-10
자녀 된 이 여러분, 아무에게도 미혹을 당하지 마십시오. 의를 행하는 사람은 하나님이 의로우신 것과 같이 의롭습니다.
죄를 짓는 사람은 악마에게 속해 있습니다. 악마는 처음부터 죄를 짓는 자이기 때문입니다. 하나님의 아들이 나타나신 목적은 악마의 일을 멸하시려는 것입니다.
하나님에게서 난 사람은 누구나 죄를 짓지 않습니다. 하나님의 씨가 그 사람 속에 있기 때문입니다. 그는 죄를 지을 수 없습니다. 그가 하나님에게서 났기 때문입니다.
하나님의 자녀와 악마의 자녀가 여기에서 환히 드러납니다. 곧 의를 행하지 않는 사람과 자기 형제자매를 사랑하지 않는 사람은 누구나 하나님에게서 난 사람이 아닙니다.Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.
No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

The devil is constantly working in our lives to bring us down and to distance us from our father as much as we try to remain in God and stop sinning desperately. As Newton's third law states - For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. So as much as we try to cling to Christ, Satan will always to try to impose his force so that we will succumb to his evil schemes. Therefore, this is a constant battle but we should keep in mind that we have an advisor/helper - the Holy Spirit who will equip us and prepare us with His love and guidance so that we won't surrender. Amen!
