1 Samuel 12 (성경통독): Indeed, Samuel points out Israel’s sins before God. They said to him, ‘No more of this. We want a king to lead us.’ And God was already their king! More importantly, he gives them the following warning: “don’t turn your back on God. Worship and serve him heart and soul! Don’t chase after ghost-gods. There’s nothing to them.”Lastly, Samuel pleads with them asking “ I beg of you, fear God and worship him honestly and heartily.”So even though God has given them an earthly king (Saul), Samuel reminds them of their covenant with God and priority needed for Him.
