2 Kings 5 (성경통독): We can see a continuation of God's works through Elisha the prophet. This time, Naaman the general of the army under the king of Aram with a serious skin disease was sent to the king of Israel who in turn referred him to Elisha the prophet. Elisha advised Naaman as follows: “Go to the River Jordan and immerse yourself seven times. Your skin will be healed and you’ll be as good as new.” So he did it. He went down and immersed himself in the Jordan seven times, following the orders of the Holy Man. His skin was healed; it was like the skin of a little baby. He was as good as new. Elisha however, did not take any forms of payment or tokens of appreciation. However, Gehazi, servant to Elisha the Holy Man, tried to look after himself working behind Elisha's back by demanding compensation from Naaman for his healing. Gehazi tried line his pockets with gift out of Elisha's sight but Elisha in spirit knew of his deceitful acts. Therefore, Elisha doomed Gehazi, telling him that Naaman’s skin disease will now infect him and his family, with no relief in sight.” Hence, Gehazi walked away, his skin flaky and white like snow.
