그러자 라합은, 그들의 말대로 하겠다고 대답하고, 그들을 보냈다. 그들이 간 뒤에, 라합은 홍색 줄을 창에 매달았다. 그들은 그 곳을 떠나 산에 다다라서, 사흘 동안 거기에 머물러 있었다. 뒤쫓는 사람들은 모든 길을 수색하였으나, 정탐꾼들을 찾지 못하고 되돌아갔다. 두 사람은 산에서 다시 내려와 강을 건넜고, 눈의 아들 여호수아에게 이르러서, 그들이 겪은 모든 일을 보고하였다. 그들이 여호수아에게 말하였다. "주께서 그 땅을 모두 우리 손에 넘겨 주셨으므로 그 땅의 모든 주민이 우리를 무서워하고 있습니다."

The spies successfully carried out their mission to carefully examine the land of Jericho. They were able to hide at Rahab's house for days until they returned to Joshua. We can see how God prepares Joshua and his people to carefully plan their attack and conquer in the new land. Every move is being carefully studied and guided by the Lord. In the same way, we also have to pray on a daily basis for small steps and changes at a time, rather than wishing for something too big that will less likely to happen.
