luke 9:28-36 (The Transfiguration)

이 말씀을 하신 뒤에, 여드레쯤 되어서, 예수께서는 베드로와 요한과 야고보를 데리고, 기도하러 산에 올라가셨다. 예수께서 기도하고 계시는데, 그 얼굴 모습이 변하고, 그 옷이 눈부시게 희어지고 빛이 났다. 그런데 갑자기 두 사람이 나타나 예수와 더불어 말을 하고 있었다. 그들은 모세와 엘리야였다.그들은 영광에 싸여 나타나서, 예수께서 예루살렘에서 이루실 일 곧 그의 떠나가심에 대하여 말하고 있었다. 베드로와 그 일행은 잠을 이기지 못해서 졸다가, 깨어나서 예수의 영광을 보고, 또 그와 함께 서 있는 그 두 사람을 보았다. 그 두 사람이 예수에게서 막 떠나가려고 할 때에, 베드로가 예수께 말하였다. "선생님, 우리가 여기서 지내는 것이 좋겠습니다. 우리가 초막 셋을 지어서, 하나에는 선생님을, 하나에는 모세를, 하나에는 엘리야를 모시겠습니다." 베드로는 자기가 무슨 말을 하는지도 모르고, 그렇게 말하였다. 그가 이렇게 말하고 있는데, 구름이 일어나서 그 세 사람을 휩쌌다. 그들이 구름 속으로 들어가니, 제자들은 두려움에 사로잡혔다. 그리고 구름 속에서 소리가 났다. "이는 내 아들이요, 내가 택한 자다. 너희는 그의 말을 들어라."그 소리가 끝났을 때에, 예수만이 거기에 계셨다. 제자들은 입을 다물고, 그들이 본 것을 얼마 동안 아무에게도 알리지 않았다.About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Two men, Moses and Elijah,appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, "Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." (He did not know what he was saying.) While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. A voice came from the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him."When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone. The disciples kept this to themselves, and told no one at that time what they had seen.
