Luke 24:13-24

13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles[a] from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; 16 but they were kept from recognizing him. 17 He asked them, “What are you discussing together as you walk along?” They stood still, their faces downcast. 18 One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, “Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?” 19 “What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. 20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; 21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. 22 In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning 23 but didn’t find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.”마침 그 날에 그들 가운데 두 사람이 예루살렘에서 한 삼십 리 떨어져 있는 엠마오라는 마을로 가고 있었다. 그들은 일어난 이 모든 일을 서로 이야기하고 있었다. 그들이 이야기하며 토론하고 있는데, 예수께서 가까이 가서, 그들과 함께 걸으셨다.그러나 그들은 눈이 가려져서 예수를 알아보지 못하였다. 예수께서 그들에게 물으셨다. "당신들이 걸으면서 서로 주고 받는 이 말들은 무슨 이야기입니까?" 그들은 침통한 표정을 지으며 걸음을 멈추었다. 그 때에 그들 가운데 하나인 글로바라는 사람이 예수께 말하였다. "예루살렘에 머물러 있었으면서, 이 며칠 동안에 거기에서 일어난 일을 당신 혼자만 모른단 말입니까?" 예수께서 그들에게 물으셨다. "무슨 일입니까?" 그들이 그에게 말하였다. "나사렛 예수에 관한 일입니다. 그는 하나님과 모든 백성 앞에서, 행동과 말씀에 힘이 있는 예언자였습니다. 그런데 우리의 대제사장들과 지도자들이 그를 넘겨주어서, 사형선고를 받게 하고, 십자가에 못박아 죽였습니다.우리는 그분이야말로 이스라엘을 구원하실 분이라는 것을 알고서, 그분에게 소망을 걸고 있었던 것입니다. 그뿐만 아니라, 그런 일이 있은 지 벌써 사흘이 되었는데, 우리 가운데서 몇몇 여자가 우리를 놀라게 하였습니다. 그들은 새벽에 무덤에 갔다가, 그의 시신을 찾지 못하고 돌아와서 하는 말이, 천사들의 환상을 보았다는 것입니다. 천사들이 예수가 살아 계신다고 말했다는 것입니다. 그래서 우리와 함께 있던 몇 사람이 무덤으로 가서 보니, 그 여자들이 말한 대로였고, 그분은 보지 못하였습니다."
