Luke 24:25-35

예수께서는 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "어리석은 사람들입니다. 예언자들이 말한 모든 것을 믿는 마음이 그렇게도 무디니 말입니다.그리스도가 마땅히 이런 고난을 겪고서, 자기 영광에 들어가야 하지 않겠습니까?" 그리고 예수께서는 모세와 모든 예언자에서부터 시작하여 성경 전체에서 자기에 관하여 써 놓은 일을 그들에게 설명하여 주셨다. 그 두 길손은 자기들이 가려고 하는 마을에 가까이 이르렀다. 그런데 예수께서는 더 멀리 가는 척하셨다. 그러자 그들은 예수를 만류하여 말하였다. "저녁때가 되고, 날이 이미 저물었으니, 우리 집에 묵으십시오." 예수께서 그들의 집에 묵으려고 들어가셨다. 그리고 그들과 함께 음식을 잡수시려고 앉으셨을 때에, 예수께서 빵을 들어서 축복하시고, 떼어서 그들에게 주셨다.그제서야 그들의 눈이 열려서, 예수를 알아보았다. 그러나 한순간에 예수께서는 그들에게서 사라지셨다. 그들은 서로 말하였다. "길에서 그분이 우리에게 말씀하시고, 성경을 풀이하여 주실 때에, 우리의 마음이 [우리 속에서] 뜨거워지지 않았습니까?" 그들이 곧바로 일어나서, 예루살렘에 돌아와서 보니, 열한 제자와 또 그들과 함께 있던 사람들이 모여 있었고, 모두들 "주님께서 확실히 살아나시고, 시몬에게 나타나셨다" 하고 말하고 있었다. 그래서 그 두 사람도 길에서 겪은 일과 빵을 떼실 때에 비로소 그를 알아보게 된 일을 이야기하였다.He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther. But they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them. When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them.Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together and saying, "It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon." Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.
