1 Timothy 6:17-21

그대는 이 세상의 부자들에게 명령하여, 교만해지지도 말고, 덧없는 재물에 소망을 두지도 말고, 오직 우리에게 모든 것을 풍성히 주셔서 즐기게 하시는 하나님께 소망을 두라고 하십시오. 또 선을 행하고, 좋은 일을 많이 하고, 아낌없이 베풀고, 즐겨 나누어주라고 하십시오. 그렇게 하여, 앞날을 위하여 든든한 기초를 스스로 쌓아서, 참된 생명을 얻으라고 하십시오. 디모데여, 그대에게 맡긴 것을 잘 지키십시오. 속된 잡담을 피하고, 거짓 지식의 반대 이론을 물리치십시오.이 반대 이론을 내세우다가 믿음을 잃은 사람도 더러 있습니다. 은혜가 여러분과 함께 있기를 바랍니다.Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith. Grace be with you.
