Genesis 9:6-11

사람은 하나님의 형상대로 지음을 받았으니, 누구든지 사람을 죽인 자는 죽임을 당할 것이다. 너희는 생육하고 번성하며 땅에 편만하여, 거기에서 번성하여라." 하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들에게 말씀하셨다. "이제 내가 너희와 너희 뒤에 오는 자손에게 직접 언약을 세운다. 너희와 함께 있는 살아 숨쉬는 모든 생물, 곧 너와 함께 방주에서 나온 새와 집짐승과 모든 들짐승에게도, 내가 언약을 세운다. 내가 너희와 언약을 세울 것이니, 다시는 홍수를 일으켜서 살과 피가 있는 모든 것들을 없애는 일이 없을 것이다. 땅을 파멸시키는 홍수가 다시는 일어나지 않을 것이다." "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man. As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it." Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with every living creature that was with you--the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you--every living creature on earth. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."
