James 1:25-27

그러나 완전한 율법 곧 자유를 주는 율법을 잘 살피고 끊임없이 그대로 사는 사람은, 율법을 듣고서 잊어버리는 사람이 아니라, 그것을 실행하는 사람인 것입니다. 이런 사람은 그가 행한 일에 복을 받을 것입니다. 26.누가 스스로 경건하다고 생각하면서도, 혀를 다스리지 않고 자기 마음을 속이면, 이 사람의 신앙은 헛된 것입니다. 27.하나님 아버지께서 보시기에 깨끗하고 흠이 없는 경건은, 고난을 겪고 있는 고아들과 과부들을 돌보아주며, 자기를 지켜서 세속에 물들지 않게 하는 것입니다. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does. 26.If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. 27.Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
