2 Timothy 1:15-18
그대도 알다시피, 아시아에 있는 사람이 모두 나를 버렸습니다. 그들 가운데는 부겔로와 허모게네가 들어 있습니다.주님께서 오네시보로의 집에 자비를 베풀어 주시기를 빕니다. 그는 여러 번 나에게 용기를 북돋아 주었고, 내가 쇠사슬에 매인 것을 부끄러워하지 않았고,
로마에 와서는 더욱 열심으로 나를 찾아 만나 주었습니다.
그 날에 주님께서 그에게 자비를 내리시기를 바랍니다. 그대는 그가 에베소에서 얼마나 많이 봉사했는가를 잘 알고 있습니다.You know that everyone in the province of Asia has deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes.May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.
On the contrary, when he was in Rome, he searched hard for me until he found me.
May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord on that day! You know very well in how many ways he helped me in Ephesus.

공동체의 중요성에 대해 다시 생각 해 봅니다. 교회란... "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." that's what church is supposed to be. The congregation members should refresh each other and proudly walk together toward Christ every day not being ashamed of their chains in Christ. We should keep in mind that our discipleship can be lonely and people (e.g. Phygelus and Hermogenes) can desert us. But we should remain firm and strong believing that the Holy Spirit will guide every single step we take. Amen!
