I think the following is the saddest verse: Then everyone deserted him and fled. (Mark 14:50) Despite training and guiding His disciples for 3 years...despite drawing close the crowd to His word every day....at the end everyone deserted Jesus and fled and nobody stood up for Him and protected Him. This truly shows the frail human nature. Jesus said that "the spirit is willing, but the body is weak." I pray that Jesus will shape me and mold me to become a more firm and strong disciple. Amen!
