Ephesians 1: I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you. And I truly pray for this change and empowerment of my heart in and through Christ so I may truly know the hope and live my life up to it.
Ephesians 2: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast....so grace through faith is a gift of God (and not by works). We can only receive this gift through in faith in Christ and there is no other short cut or detour.
Ephesians 3: I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,...what could be the glorious riches as mentioned here? I think it means to experience the measure of all the fullness of God: wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.
