Jeremiah 22: This is a strong warning message to the royal palace in Judah. God threatens the place to end up a heap of rubble since the kinds walked out on the covenant of their God, took up with other gods and worshiped them. For those people, God's verdict can't be clearer - "He is the end of the line, the last of the kings" due to his disobedience and reluctance to obey God.

Jeremiah 23:"But don’t pretend that you know all the answers yourselves and talk like you know it all. I’m telling you: Quit the ‘God told me this . . . God told me that . . .’ kind of talk." This message does not only apply to prophets and priests but to all of us. If we have practice serving two masters, we surely cannot know God's thoughts and heart and true message for us. So we should stop pretending and come back to our true senses!

Jeremiah 24: "And I’ll give them a heart to know me, God. They’ll be my people and I’ll be their God, for they’ll have returned to me with all their hearts." So despite God's disappointment toward His people, He still loves them and wants them to turn their hearts toward him and be recognized as their only true God!
