Amos 1: God's message is about the four sins (e.g. deported whole towns, sold people, ripped open pregnant women) of the following cities: Damascus, Gaza, Tyre, Edom and Ammon. God is fed up with the same old lies of these people.
Amos 2: This chapter discusses the four sins of Moab, Judah and Israel. Among all of them, God points out to the deep rooted history between Israel and God. E.g. He destroyed the Amorites who confronted Israel, delivered them from Egypt and led them safely through the wilderness for forty years....However, despite, Israel continues to sin: e.g. They buy and sell upstanding people, they give themselves to their cheap and useless gods.
