2 Samuel 4 (성경통독): Ish-Bosheth had two men who were captains of raiding bands—one was named Baanah, the other Recab... Apparently, they mistakenly believed that King David would praise them if they were to bring the head of Ish-Bosheth, Saul’s son, his enemy. And we can see their craftiness here.... Baanah and Recab said that Ish-Bosheth "was out to kill David, but God has given vengeance to their master, the king—vengeance this very day on Saul and his children!” But instead of David praising them for their act of courage, he knew they were lying and found them guilty of murder and issued orders to his soldiers to kill the two captains. So again, we can see that David only had good intent toward Saul and Jonathan and that he was a just king, looking out for the good of the people with no favoritism or greed for more power.
