2 Kings 14 (성경통독): In the first section, we learn about Amaziah son of Joash, king of Judah who was evil in the eyes of God. He defeated Edom and went on to challenge Jehoash king of Israel against whom he was defeated. Next, Azariah son of Amaziah became the king of Judah who rebuilt and restored Elath to Judah. Also, Jeroboam son of Jehoash became king of Israel in Samaria. He also led Israel into a life of sin. God was fully aware of the trouble in Israel, its bitterly hard times. No one was exempt, whether slave or citizen, and no hope of help anywhere was in sight. But God wasn’t yet ready to blot out the name of Israel from history, so he used Jeroboam son of Jehoash to save them. So we can see how God does not give up on His people remembering His covenant with their ancestors (e.g. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob).
