Exodus 24:15-18
모세가 산에 오르니, 구름이 산을 덮었다. 주의 영광이 시내 산 위에 머무르고, 엿새 동안 구름이 산을 뒤덮었다. 이렛날, 주께서 구름 가운데서 모세를 부르셨다. 이스라엘 자손의 눈에는 주의 영광이, 마치 산꼭대기에서 타오르는 불처럼 보였다. 모세는 구름 가운데를 지나고, 산 위로 올라가서, 밤낮 사십 일을 그 산에 머물렀다.
Moses had to wait for six days until the LORD called him from within the cloud...It must have been a period of anxiousness and hope. Also, I wonder how Moses must have felt to stay in the mountains for 40 days. There is no indication if food/drink were provided to him. Overall, I think God is trying to teach Moses how to persevere and hope for the coming of the Lord.
