여호수아가 백성에게 말하였다. "너희는 자신을 성결하게 하여라. 주께서 내일 너희 가운데서 놀라운 일을 이루실 것이다."여호수아가 제사장들에게 언약궤를 메고 백성보다 앞서 건너가라고 명령하자, 그들은 언약궤를 메고 백성들 앞에서 나아갔다.주께서 여호수아에게 말씀하셨다. "바로 오늘부터, 내가 너를 모든 이스라엘 사람이 보는 앞에서 위대한 지도자로 세우고, 내가 모세와 함께 있던 것처럼 너와 함께 있다는 사실을 그들이 알게 하겠다. 이제 너는 언약궤를 멘 제사장들에게, 요단 강의 물 가에 이르거든 요단 강에 들어가서 서 있으라고 하여라."

It's the moment when God officially shows Joshua as the successor of Moses to the priests and the people of Israel. As promised to the forefathers, God really selects another leader and lets him lead the people. We can again be confirmed that God is a God of promise who carries out all promised made to Abraham and Moses.
