Luke 8:49-56

예수께서 아직 말씀을 계속하시는데, 회당장의 집에서 사람이 와서 말하였다. "따님이 죽었습니다. 선생님을 더 괴롭히지 마십시오." 예수께서 들으시고 나서, 회당장에게 말씀하셨다. "두려워하지 말고, 믿기만 하여라. 딸이 나을 것이다."그리고 그 집에 이르러서, 베드로와 요한과 야고보와 그 아이의 부모 밖에는, 아무도 함께 들어가는 것을 허락하지 않으셨다. 사람들은 모두 울며 그 아이에 대해 슬퍼하고 있었다. 예수께서 말씀하셨다. "울지 말아라. 아이가 죽은 것이 아니라, 자고 있다." 그들은 아이가 죽었음을 알고 있으므로, 예수를 비웃었다. 예수께서 아이의 손을 잡으시고 말씀하셨다. "아이야, 일어나라." 그러자 그 아이의 영이 돌아와서, 아이가 곧 일어났다. 예수께서는 먹을 것을 아이에게 주라고 지시하셨다.아이의 부모는 놀랐다. 예수께서 이 일을 아무에게도 말하지 말라고 그들에게 명하셨다.While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler. "Your daughter is dead," he said. "Don't bother the teacher any more." Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed."When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child's father and mother. Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep." They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. But he took her by the hand and said, "My child, get up!" Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat.Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.
