Luke 9:21-27 (Jesus Predicts His Death)

그런데 예수께서는 그들에게 엄중히 경고하셔서, 이것을 아무에게도 말하지 말라고 명하시고, 말씀하셨다. "인자가 반드시 많은 고난을 받고, 장로들과 대제사장들과 율법학자들에게 배척을 받아 죽임을 당하고서, 사흗날에 살아나야 한다." 그리고 예수께서 모든 사람에게 말씀하셨다. "나를 따라오려는 사람은, 자기를 부인하고, 날마다 자기 십자가를 지고, 나를 따라오너라. 누구든지 제 목숨을 구하려고 하는 사람은 잃을 것이요, 누구든지 나를 위하여 제 목숨을 잃는 사람은 목숨을 구할 것이다. 사람이 온 세상을 얻고도 자기를 잃거나 빼앗기면, 무슨 이득이 있겠느냐?누구든지 나와 내 말을 부끄럽게 여기면, 인자도 자기의 영광과 아버지와 거룩한 천사들의 영광에 싸여 올 때에, 그 사람을 부끄럽게 여길 것이다. 내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 여기에 서 있는 사람 가운데는, 죽기 전에 하나님 나라를 볼 사람들이 있다."Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone. And he said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life." Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."
