Luke 9:51-56 (Samaritan Opposition)

예수께서 하늘에 올라가실 날이 다 되었다. 그래서 예수께서는 예루살렘에 가시기로 마음을 굳히시고 심부름꾼들을 앞서 보내셨다. 그들이 길을 떠나서 예수를 모실 준비를 하려고 사마리아 사람의 한 마을에 들어갔다. 그러나 그 마을 사람들은 예수가 예루살렘으로 가시는 도중이므로, 예수를 맞아들이지 않았다. 그래서 제자인 야고보와 요한이 이것을 보고 말하였다. "주님, 하늘에서 불이 내려와 그들을 태워 버리라고 우리가 명령하면 어떻겠습니까?" 예수께서 돌아서서 그들을 꾸짖으셨다.그리고 그들은 다른 마을로 갔다.As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem. And he sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him; but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem. When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, "Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?" But Jesus turned and rebuked them,and they went to another village.
