Revelation 13:1-10

나는 바다에서 짐승 하나가 올라오는 것을 보았습니다. 그 짐승은 뿔 열과 머리 일곱이 달려 있었는데, 그 뿔 하나하나에 왕관을 쓰고 있고, 그 머리 하나하나에는 하나님을 모독하는 이름이 붙어 있었습니다. 내가 본 그 짐승은 표범과 비슷한데, 그 발은 곰의 발과 같고, 그 입은 사자의 입과 같았습니다. 그 용이 자기 힘과 왕위와 큰 권세를 이 짐승에게 주었습니다. 그 머리들 가운데 하나는 치명상을 입은 듯하였습니다. 그러나 그 치명적인 상처가 나으니, 온 세상은 놀라서 그 짐승을 따라갔습니다. 용이 그 짐승에게 권세를 주니, 사람들은 그 용에게 경배하였습니다. 또 그들은 "누가 이 짐승과 같으랴? 누가 이 짐승과 맞서서 싸울 수 있으랴?" 하고 말하면서, 그 짐승에게 경배하였습니다. 그 짐승은, 큰소리를 치며 하나님을 모독하는 말을 하는 입을 받고, 마흔두 달 동안 활동할 권세를 받았습니다.그 짐승은 입을 열어서 하나님을 모독하였으니, 하나님의 이름과 거처와 하늘에 사는 이들을 모독하였습니다. 그 짐승은 성도들과 싸워서 이길 것을 허락받고, 또 모든 종족과 백성과 언어와 민족을 다스리는 권세를 받았습니다. 그러므로 땅 위에 사는 사람 가운데서, 죽임을 당한 어린 양의 생명책에 창세 때부터 이름이 기록되어 있지 않은 사람은, 모두 그에게 경배할 것입니다. 귀가 있는 사람은 들으십시오. "사로잡혀 가기로 되어 있는 사람이면, 사로잡혀 갈 것이요, 칼에 맞아서 죽임을 당하기로 되어 있는 사람이면, 칼에 맞아서 죽임을 당할 것이다." 여기에 성도들의 인내와 믿음이 필요합니다.And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?" The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months.He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. He who has an ear, let him hear. If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.
