Revelation 18:21-24

또 힘센 천사가 큰 맷돌과 같은 돌을 들어 바다에 던지고서 말하였습니다. "그 큰 도시 바빌론이 이렇게 큰 힘으로 던져질 터이니, 다시는 그 흔적도 찾을 수 없을 것이다. 거문고를 타는 사람들과 노래를 부르는 사람들과 피리를 부는 사람들과 나팔을 부는 사람들의 노랫소리가 다시는 네 안에서 들리지 않을 것이요, 어떠한 세공장이도 네 안에서 하나도 보이지 않을 것이요, 맷돌 소리도 다시는 네 안에서 들리지 않을 것이다. 등불 빛도 다시는 네 안에서 비치지 않을 것이요, 신랑과 신부의 음성도 다시는 네 안에서 들리지 않을 것이다. 그것은 네 상인들이 땅의 세도가로 행세하고 모든 민족이 네 마술에 속아넘어갔기 때문이고, 예언자들의 피와 성도들의 피와 땅에서 죽임을 당한 모든 사람의 피가 이 도시에서 발견되었기 때문이다.Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said: "With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again. The music of harpists and musicians, flute players and trumpeters, will never be heard in you again. No workman of any trade will ever be found in you again. The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again. The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again. Your merchants were the world's great men. By your magic spell all the nations were led astray. In her was found the blood of prophets and of the saints, and of all who have been killed on the earth."
