Titus 3:1-5

그대는 신도를 일깨워서, 통치자와 집권자에게 복종하고, 순종하고, 모든 선한 일을 할 준비를 갖추게 하십시오. 또, 아무도 비방하지 말고, 싸우지 말고, 관용하게 하며, 언제나 모든 사람에게 온유하게 대하게 하십시오. 우리도 전에는 어리석고, 순종하지 아니하고, 미혹을 당하고, 온갖 정욕과 향락에 종노릇 하고, 악의와 시기심을 가지고 살고, 남에게 미움을 받고, 서로 미워하면서 살았습니다. 그러나 우리의 구주이신 하나님께서 그 인자하심과 사랑하심을 나타내셔서 우리를 구원하셨습니다. 그분이 그렇게 하신 것은, 우리가 행한 의로운 일 때문이 아니라, 그분의 자비하심을 따라 거듭나게 씻어주심과 성령으로 새롭게 해 주심으로 말미암은 것입니다.Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
