Jude 1:1-4
Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.
For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

"had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints...."
Do we also feel the need and urgency to contend (assert, maintain, hold, claim, argue) for the faith that has been entrusted to us? What is our limit and munch far are we willing to sacrifice to contend for it? How easily are we shaken by words of men who deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord? How easily are we shaken by words of men who distort the pure gospel by changing the grace of our God into a license for immorality? We should pray that our faith will not be shaken by these incidents and that we stay strong and firm in our Lord Jesus. Amen!
