1 Samuel 11-13 (성경통독)
Samuel 11:
Saul Rescues the City of Jabesh (vs.1-11)
Saul Confirmed as King (vs.12-15)
Samuel 12:
Samuel’s Farewell Speech (vs.1-25)
Samuel 13:
Samuel Rebukes Saul (vs.1-15)
Israel Without Weapons (vs.16-22)
Jonathan Attacks the Philistines (vs.23)
Chapter 11: Until this point, Saul still seems to be listening and obeying God. But Saul said, "Not a man shall be put to death this day, for today the LORD has accomplished deliverance in Israel."
Chapter 12: "Only fear the LORD and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you." Although people have rejected the Lord, the Lord's presence is still among them and He has done them a great favor by giving them a king. But they should still keep in mind that the Lord is the lord over their lives.
Chapter 13: Samuel said to Saul, "You have acted foolishly; you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you, for now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.... So Saul acted in ignorance and arrogance by sacrificing the burnt offering and the peace offerings without waiting for approval from Samuel. So I guess... Saul was not the man the LORD has sought out for Himself after His own heart?
