1 Corinthians 1: For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in [l]cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void... If we were to rely on human intellect and eloquence, the cross of Christ would lose on its value. But if we truly empty ourselves and let Christ take control in speech and action every day, then the cross of Christ will shine and be influential in our lives.
1 Corinthians 2: the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory... We have to pray for the mind and heart of Christ so we can understand the things of the Spirit of God and be able to discern.
1 Corinthians 3: ...because you were unable to take it. This shows our immaturity in Christ. I pray that I will mature in Christ and be able to take and digest solid food.
