Jeremiah 1: We can see that God has His own orders and ways to prepare people to be used for His ministry and services.Though we may think we are not ready, God with His own methods, equips and gets us ready. Indeed, He even puts His words in our mouth - hand delivers them to be said to people at the right moment.
Jeremiah 2: Here we can see a jealous God. God's message was given to Israel and He deemed it as His holy choice. But the people abused God's long-lasting patience and love and rather turned & followed hand-made alien gods. But judgment will eventually befall on those who don't obey Him wholeheartedly.
Jeremiah 3: It's interesting how MSG Bible describes idolatry as "whoring" our way with god after god. To be restored, we have to stop our past reliance on the whore life and instead, admit our God-defiance and plead with Him to be restored as His people.
